   A real mixed bag of reviews! This is our experience and review. Choose the time you go carefully so of course avoid the 1pm - 2pm rush. I haven't been here for at least 4 years and what a difference! Either order at the till (with your table no) or scan the code to order from your table. We arrived at 1.55 on Friday when there was a lull in orders and people finishing their lunch. I had a tuna cheese onion ciabatta with salad and my daughter had mozzarella pesto tomato flatbread with chips; both really good. Our drinks, tea and peach tea arrived very quickly and food shortly after. Lovely hard working friendly staff as well so we enjoyed our lunch. : ))

   I booked an afternoon tea in a pod for myself, my mum and my aunt today. I have to say that Fiona was absolutely AWESOME!! She attended to our every request with a smile and some great chatter. Fiona is a true asset to the Mulberry Tree at Ruxley! GIVE HER A RAISE!!! The food was outstanding too. A really lovely afternoon tea with the best scone I have ever had in my life. So thank you to Fiona for making our afternoon so special. And thanks to the kitchen for the beautiful food. I booked this afternoon tea as an early Mother’s Day treat and I am so glad we went. It was perfect and I highly recommend!

   All round positive experience. We were in a group of 11 and managed to find 3 tables to pull together on a Saturday lunchtime at midday. When we ordered on the app it said we might have to wait 20 mins, but the food started arriving within 5 mins! The food was of good quality and the portions were well sized. Prices are reasonable for what you get and for dessert the ice cream was genuinely excellent. They did get one order wrong and offered to change it for us and the staff were all very kind, smiley and friendly. The atmosphere was good, if slightly noisy, but that's to be expected given the number of people in the large hall. We will definitely be back.

   Very large dining room in the garden centre. The food is canteen like but decent. Food comes very quickly. Food tasted good but was nothing special. It felt quite expensive but may be normal for the area. Loads of seating available.

   Came in and ordered a coffee at 14:51 and at 15:03 when the website states open until 5pm on NewYears eve, but can only assume you were open till 3pm was refused a slice of cake whilst still drinking a semi full cup of coffee with my wife and 3 year old daughter.. “supervisor says we can’t serve you”. What happened to using a bit of goodwill or “as it’s only a cake that’s fine”.. I could understand if I wanted to order a full English or something that required cooking but a slice of cake.. Come on… We will not be back..

   AVOID!!!! I have eaten here a few times over the years and can say the restaurant gets worse and worse every time i visit. I usually eat at Honeydale across the road, but due to it being closed for refurbishment I popped into Ruxley for some breakfast. NEVER AGAIN. They cram customers in despite the kitchen not being able to cope, which then leads on to a very poor quality of food. My drink arrived promptly, followed 35 minutes later by a cold, limp, soggy fried breakfast. I took one bite of a cold sausage and decided against eating any more. I went to the duty manager, showed the breakfast was cold and I had taken one bite and explained I would like a refund. The refund was refused and my solution of a replacement meal rejected. I promptly left and will NEVER return. The cafe across the road is 100x better, go there......

   Fancied a quick bite whilst shopping at Ruxley Manor Garden Centre. This restaurant offered a good selection of snacks and drinks. We went for the cream tea which came with all the trimmings. We were able to book from the table using the QR code and link. Food and drinks arrived in just a few minutes, very impressed. The scone was the largest I have seen! Tea was nice and hot and there is a good selection of teas and coffees.
