   You can’t beat a curry from here, I have been all over the country and tried so many different curry houses. But I’ll tell you now there’s nothing like it. The food is always amazing and great service. My husband normally goes to pick it up for me, it’s always hot and fresh and quick service and staff are so friendly. I love to eat in on special occasions it’s our families go to, and service is still great! The flavour and portions are so fulfilling and tasty. My daughter’s always begging me for a shampan! It’s worth the money…

   Best place for a curry - by a country mile! We have never had a meal that we didn't find exceptional, there are good reasons why this place has won so many awards and enjoys michelin star status, the staff are excellent and the menu choices and quality match that level and then some. The chefs recommendations part of the Menu never fails to meet high standards and there ars plenty of other options throughout the menu too.

   My son took me for a birthday meal on a Friday early evening. The decor is beautiful. The waiters are very attentive. My son raves about this place and I thought the food would be better. Don’t get me wrong, it is not bad. I just needed some more oomph. The naan is delicious. It is fluffy and light. The tandoori chicken was moist and tasty. The chicken passanda was above average. The rice was good. I didn’t like my spinach. The lamb in the lamb Bhuna was chewy. The chicken tikka masala was fine. I did enjoy my time there. And I enjoyed the leftovers for breakfast.

   Four of us went for the Sunday buffet. We did book, but it looked like others were coming in on the off-chance. The buffet is great value, plenty of choice and very tasty. Service is quick and friendly.

   Have had both takeaways and eaten in the restaurant. If you have the time definitely eat in as it always tastes better! Since moving North every time I come back South to visit family I always make a point of eating here whether a take out or in the restaurant. My favourite dish is still their butter chicken absolutely divine.

   I've tried many Indian restaurants in my time but Shampan is BY FAR the best and most delicious Indian I have ever eaten. Usually we order a takeaway but today decided to eat in and it was even better. Delicious food and lovely service. I asked if there were any Indian desserts on the menu as I couldn't see any listed, there wasn't, but the owner went to the kitchen and brought me and my partner out freshly made gulab jamun (which were made fresh for the staff) absolutely amazing, would recommend and we give Shampan 5*. Oh and we were even offered complementary drinks. We'll be back!
