Just ordered from here on just eat and wow. Food is absolutely amazing and delicious, it arrived very quickly and very warm and tasty. Prices are honestly very amazing considering other places. Would happily recommend this place to everyone, very big portion sizes too.
Very average food, the curries lacked taste and wasn't really traditional or authentic. Was really well packaged, lovely and clean packaging. Good service and friendly people. Decent temperature but the delivery took a little long. Their chilli sauce they give for chips is really nice!
they have a decent curry selection (if a bit oily, the okra one is particularly nice). The biryani is a good deal (again, a bit oily), and their portion sizes have recently shrunk from ginormous to reasonable, but at 5.50, it's still acceptable. if you get a kebab on naan, they make the naan on the spot, which is super nice (kebab is average, though). Overall, a bit nicer than expected.
Ordered full chicken Nihari Nan Biryani but received call from the restaurant shortly that they are closing and out of full chicken so I can choose different item which I choose as Okra and they said they will still send half chicken Food arrived on time straight away driver apologised that restaurant forgot to send me by drink and he can get me drink next time or from the corner shop to which I said it’s fine. Lined up everything but Biryani was drinking with rotten lamb donner and cold chicken donner. Half chicken was dry and okra was not upto the task. Nihari had too much oil and no where near to the taste of nihari 10/10 for the Nan as it was nice and warm but nothing to eat with the Nan
The chicken donar at Essex Kebabish is very oily, they served with bits of chicken skin. Avoid this particular dish from their menu. The chicken skin and the excessive oil spoilt it.
Ordered takeaway at midday expecting the food to be freshly made seeing how early in the day it was. Sadly food appeared as though had been heated up and didn’t taste fresh. Pakoras were old and stale which I had to heat up. Give the time of day I’d love cover freshly fried crispy ones. Fried fish did not appear as expected Fast service though and they added some free sweets.
Overall not a place I'd recommend going to unless every other place is unavailable. Dined in but regretted doing so. Noticed the table's were still not cleared. Yet despite sitting down the staff did not bother cleaning down the area. Another table was being used as a dumping ground for used plates and cutlery directly in front of where I was sitting. So yeah. In terms of cleanliness and general hygiene, it's not great at all. The food was just ok. I ordered a half chicken and rice. The chicken was just about seasoned. I ordered extra hot but it was bland as can be. No heat at all. The chicken was not rubbery but still quite dry. The skin was not the good crispy but very thin and yellowish. The rice was bland, serving no purpose other than getting carbs into your diet. Finally price. It costs £7 for the meal which is not bad, however i came in having seen them put out a board with the price reduced to £6. So they don't seem to know or care what prices they're charging their customers.
First time there and was really please with the service .wonderful and helpful staff, very clean Food was really good especially was impressed by the mix vegetables curry which has all fresh vegetables felt like having food made from home .Keep it up
