   If you're looking for a real fish and chip shop, not one of those places that tries to do everything but gets nothing quite right, this is your place. Decent traditional chippies are getting harder to find these days, but this one absolutely nails it. We spotted it on the way home from a day out and decided to give it a try. It was exactly what we’d been searching for, so I thought it deserved an honest review. The shop is spotless. The prices are reasonable. The staff are kind and welcoming. The lady who served us was lovely, friendly, and down-to-earth. We placed an order of haddock and cod, and it was all cooked fresh in front of us while we waited. The food is outstanding, and the portion sizes are very generous. Easily some of the best fish and chips we’ve had in a long time. The batter is perfect. Light, crispy, and golden, not greasy at all. It’s almost like a tempura batter. Absolutely no sogginess anywhere, which is really rare. The chips are delicious too. Soft and fluffy in the middle with a little crisp on the outside. The bread rolls were fresh, the saveloys had that great snap when you bite into them and they were not dry or overcooked. They are also the proper higher quality saveloys, not the cheaper nasty ones with the grey meat and weird smell that a lot of places seem to be selling now. The curry sauce was spot on with just the right mix of spice, sweetness and consistency. I have never been a fan of curry sauce with bits in it but this one completely changed my mind. The only downside is that it’s a little far from us, but it's always worth the journey. We've been here a few times now and it's consistently excellent each time. To everyone at Rainham Fish Bar, keep up the amazing work. Your food is absolutely delicious and really speaks for itself. If you're a fan of traditional fish and chips, this is the place to go. If you're trying it for the first time, definitely go and get it fresh. You won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend.

   Lengthy ordering process. Rude arrogant staff, more bothered about the uber orders. Plus the staff were making fun of me in Punjabi yet don’t realise I understand the language. Owner looks like he has had all the pies but don’t want to share quality in the food served. Wont be going back.
