Had a fabulous meal here tonight. My dad had grilled skate wing with saute potatos, partner had battered skate wing and chips. I had whole griddled sea bass, and all the meals were superb. Werent rushed, and service was super friendly and food was hot and so fresh. Will be back soon.
Overall definitely recommend! We had calamari and halloumi cheese starters and they are delicious. Portions are reasonable but it is the only thing that I wish was little more of it. I understand it is a starter but I think they could make it just one extra halloumi and calamari on it and it will be perfect size then. Mains are fantastic, hands down, no questions asked. Taste, size, presentation and variety is great. All happy there and recommending for sure to eat out here.
Nice starters (spicy king prawns), mains (haddock and chips) and dessert (sticky toffee pudding with ice cream). Decent portions, good service along with a singer who sang some good old classics which added abit more atmosphere to what would have been a normal evening out for dinner.
Great service, classic British fish and chips. Lady that served us was VERY friendly and welcoming. The chips were perfectly well done as requested, the cod was crispy on the outside, soft and flaky in the inside. Curry sauce was excellent too. Highly recommended!
Love this place! If you're eating in, the quality of food, and the portions you get for the money are well worth it. The service was prompt and friendly and they provided free samples too. Place is well decorated, comfortable spot. And if you're getting a takeaway, these are the freshest chips in Hornchurch.
Just had to come back, this time for our daughters birthday. Guess what? They didn't disappoint, food is amazingly fresh and cooked to how you want it.
A nice find in my local area. From the outside it looks like a normal chippy, but inside at the back is a really nice relaxing restaurant with an amazing selection on their grilled fish and seafood menu. Friendly and nice waitress (Jill?) was so much fun to talk to. We chose the squid and seafood stews served with a chunk of nice toast to dip into the stew sauce. I told them to better advertise their non “fish and chips” menu from outside the place - but apparently current disputes with nearby bullying competitors! Grossly unfair. Although some dishes are a little pricey, I would definitely return to Captain Tom. Flavours of the food and service are wonderful !
Excellent chips, lovely vibe, customer service is super attentive. Definitely encourage everyone to try this place if they already haven't. Got just the chips and nuggets.
Very friendly staff and delicious food, in a tastefully decorated setting. Great buzz and atmosphere in the restaurant, and the service was attentive and smooth running. Drinks were also fab. We will definitely be back!
Had a meal there just now and the food were Amazing.! The front of house team were very welcoming to everyone(Thanks Raigan and Jodie aka the Blond Girl). Fresh fishes and wonderful chefs and we will be for sure visiting soon.
