Great place for womens and mens clothing especially good value on sale days which there is quite a number usually every month or so.
Love the prices and selection of seasonal clothes. The staff are friendly and welcoming but I must say the changing rooms are awful. Dirty and grubby.
I visited Peacocks Bolton on 20/08/2025 around 4 pm with my brother to exchange some clothes I had received as a gift. Unfortunately, the customer service we received was extremely disappointing and upsetting. One of the staff members displayed clear racial profiling towards us. the staff at that time was , in a very unkind manner. When we went to the till to complete the exchange, her behaviour was outright rude and dismissive. Even when presenting a Blue Light Card, she demanded to see a photo ID in an unprofessional and disrespectful way. ( i know we require and id when we show blue light card but there is a way of asking it ) As customers, we expect to be treated with courtesy and fairness, regardless of our background. The staff member’s attitude was unacceptable and not at all reflective of the customer service standards a store should uphold. I left the store feeling very unhappy and unwelcome. This kind of behaviour should not be tolerated, and I hope the management takes serious action to ensure no other customer faces such discriminatory treatment in the future.
I visited the trinity street shop today 7th June f or dresses for a holiday in Italy and wanted a bolero cardigan.The member of staff was extremely helpful and went out of her way to help.There was great choice and lovely clothes. I got what I wanted and very pleased

I went into peacocks yesterday (17th Dec) . And I can honestly say the lady behind the till was the most pleasant, friendly, helpful person I have ever been served by in any shop, and the fact that it's the most stressful time for retail staff the week before Christmas makes this lady even more special. It was a pleasure to shop there.
If you really want the genuine " chippy tea" experience, get your posterior down here - all spot on.
Ordered a coat for my daughter online. Took 5 days for it to arrive in the shop. Had quite a wait for them to find my parcel. The coat was WAY too small. Nowhere near the size 8 it was supposed to be. Asked if I could return it in the shop. The lady on the till didn't seem to know what she was doing. Took her ages to sort my refund (3 attempts). Store was clean and tidy. The lady I dealt with was pleasant and polite but I didn't receive an apology for the length of time it took.
