Came tonight, was seated by a polite lady at the reception. Really disappointing service however from the waitress, we were seated for around 10-15 minutes and she still didn’t take our drinks or food order. She simply walked past our table and proceeded to ask another table near to us what drinks they would like- bearing in mind they had just come in and we had been sat there for 10 or so minutes. I politely asked her when she had finished taking the next tables drink order if she could take ours as we’ve been here a while. She said I’ll come back in a minute, no apology and no greeting as such. When the front desk lady walked past us to bring the next tables drinks over I asked her if we could be served, she said she would grab somebody. A friendly waiter came over very promptly and took our order. My next issue was that when my main arrived I received no corn bread- it is advertised as coming with the meal. When you are paying £23.99 you expect all components to be on the plate without having to ask for them. Secondly I asked for mash potato and peas instead of rainbow slaw. I received chips and rainbow slaw on my plate. I told the manager this and she came back with a pot of peas, she took away the slaw and never brought any mash potato out so I just made do with the chips. Really disappointing that 2 instructions (food swaps) had not been followed & thirdly corn bread was not on the plate to begin with. We also had no knives on our table- we ordered ribs & a rump steak meal. No waitress was around to get us cutlery again at this point so I had to go and find some myself from another empty table. You don’t exactly go to a restaurant and expect to have to serve yourself. Not when you are paying £50 for 2 meals and 2 drinks. It’s not a fast food restaurant. Waitress walked past us to various tables a good 7-8 times whilst we were eating and never once asked how the food was or if we would like dessert/ more drinks once we had finished our meal and drinks. She just said are you all done. I just think the service tonight was really slapdash. Food was wrong as I mentioned and waitress was so unwelcoming & gave disappointing service/ had zero customer service skills. What I would like to mention however is that her section of the restaurant was very busy and she had a lot to do with little help. I think more people should be working on a Friday night in order to ensure customers have a better experience and that staff are not overworked. It negatively impacts the atmosphere & efficiency of a restaurant when there’s not enough staff running the place. I really hope the harvester takes these complaints & issues on board. The food itself was lovely, it’s just the staff/ service that ruined it tonight.

I had a chicken bacon stack and the chicken was very tough and chewy the rainbow slaw was disgusting and the salad bowls was not taken away when mains arrived. I returned my meal to the kitchen and wasn’t asked if I would like anything else. This was my nieces birthday party and had to grab something on the way home. I will not be returning to this harvester ever again.

Absolutely loved the place. Fantastic atmosphere, a wonderful staff, great menu options and reasonably easy on the wallet, very welcoming and a neat, tidy and clean place. If you have not already visited, will highly recommend the same. We will surely return here.

We stopped in here for a pub lunch where we were pleasantly surprised by the professional reception we received at the door from Rose, followed by the awesome service from Sam. We also stumbled upon chicken Tuesday where all the chicken dishes are reduced to £8 which made our lunch amazing value. Hadn’t had a salad bar for a while so that was cool too and the food was very tasty!

Had dinner with family on Sunday. Was served by a lovely young lady who’s name I didn’t catch but she glasses in and her hair up. She was so friendly and helpful. The food was served fast and was delicious. Will definitely be returning.

Waitress was lovely and friendly, took the time to explain some items that had run out but also just to talk normally. The salad bar was nice and fresh and well stocked. The meals were both lovely and served hot although some of my sweet potato fries were overcooked and hard. Only down side was large table near us with children who were running about and the mess on the floor after they left.

Worst meal I've ever had. Not sure as a chef how he had the bottle to serve it, I eat 2 bits and sent it back. I was asked if I wanted anything else, not sure that I would have had the confidence in the chef. It even looked unappetising, not that there was anything complicated about a mixed grill. Self serve salad was good and that's why it managed 2 stars
