I thought I would write a review after a few years of using these guys. I've always found the food to be good, hot, and on time. Tonight, I accidentally made a pick-up order instead of a delivery. I called them, and they fixed the problem very quickly, even delivering outside of their usual hours. Thank you.
The chicken shish box is our go-to takeaway — always delicious and surprisingly healthy, with plenty of protein, whole-grain bulgur, and fresh salad. The falafel and hummus are excellent too. Honestly, I’m surprised the rating isn’t higher; in my opinion, this is the best (and maybe the only truly decent) takeaway in Borough Green.
This place is a joke. I ordered a large doner regular chips at 7:30 on deliveroo which should have been delivered at 20:25 it is now 21:48 and still not here. Every time we call they say ten minutes now they close in 12 minutes and they’re being difficult. I would understand if it was a Friday or Saturday but it’s Wednesday. I’m starving hungry and now have to leave for my night shift having had no dinner. I will never use this “establishment” again as they’re being rude to my wife hanging up the phone

Amazing place great kebab thinly cut Quality meat and there was rice in box to which was a first but nice. Massive portion. Had a medium kebab £8 good price Salad was seperate The garlic sauce was a 10/10 Will try the char- grilled kebab next time
Doner kebab was very nice, meat was good quality. Chips were cold and soggy so didn’t eat put portion was generous. Ordered halloumi kebab but when collected and brought home - it wasn’t there. So had to drive back, when I was offered for them to cook it now but it would take 10 minutes so I asked and was given a refund.
Fantastic food! Really the best lamb kofta wraps. Super juicy and you can tell it's great quality meat. It's traditional and fresh. I was really happy with the portion size. I'm a big boy and was definitely full. The wrap is huge and the boxes have lots inside. Having eaten at some of the top old school Turkish spots in North London, this place is certainly worth a visit!
Have been going since they opened, normally really good, haven't been for a couple months and have things changed ordered a lamb shish and meant and chips portions are so much smaller, chips were so oily and greasy, lamb wasn't cooked had 4 pieces only 1 was cooked dinner meat was under cooked too, after a bowl of cereal I'm just hoping we don't get ill from undercooked meat. Very disappointing , will not be going back.
Although the chicken was tasty, the meal consisted of 5 cubes of chicken, a strip of pita bread, slightly uncooked lumpy rice and couscous. I expected the chicken kebab to come with some salad but to be honest 2 pieces of grilled tomato is not what I'd call a salad? I also ordered 3 drinks of Aryan yoghurt drink but these were not in the bag. I didn't bother to contact The Hungry Turk as the cost of fuel to return again would not make it worthwhile! The food is overpriced and really not worth the cost, we won't be ordering again.
Very small portions. Hardly more than a snack. We ordered 2 chicken shish kebabs. One had 4 pieces of chicken and the other had 5 pieces. Quality was very good but we needed to eat after we had finished. Would make a nice sized starter. Personally I would rather pay more and get a proper meal.
