finished a fun day at thrope park and searched for the best indian in the area and this popped up. must say it was amazing. the dhansak is the best i had! the mixed grill was soft and big and for the price i really cannot fault them! well done to the boys in the back!
I celebrated my birthday at Chertsey Restaurant, and it was unforgettable. The food was exquisite, bursting with authentic Indian flavours. Tahmid and Tarek provided exceptional service, attentive and friendly throughout. The warm atmosphere made the evening truly special – highly recommended!
We were staying overnight at the local Travelodge and stumbled upon this gem. The staff went above and beyond and were very polite and helpful. The food was delicious and came to just under £70 for 3 people with a drink, so it's reasonably priced as well. It seemed to be very popular with the locals with many knowing the staff on a first name basis. If you're in the area and in the market for an Indian give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!
Delicious hearty food served by brilliant owners. The care they took with the food and their customers was first class. I recommend the Lamb Hyderabad, a terrific dish! Can't wait to return.
I ordered a takeaway and thought I would get a drink in the pub next door the jack sparrow in which i found very welcoming and friendly while awaiting my order not only was the food excellent but they delivered it to me where I was having a drink absolutely brilliant service and 1st class food thankyou chertsey restaurant
I’ve a food for more 35£ for takeaway but as you can see it’s burnt naan. So never suggest anybody to buy food from this restaurant.
Clean and neat restaurant with very good service. Food is tasty too, but the sause seems to have covered the original taste of the food ingredient (fish or shrimp for example). Overal a good place for Indian food.
First time visiting. Food was very good and prices were good (mains around £5.50, sides £3.25, garlic naan £2.30). Dishes were full of flavour. Naan breads were perfect. They were happy to accommodate different dish requests. The "screaming hot balti" was very indeed very hot! Garlic chilli main we was very nice as was the korai and tarka Dal. Aloo chaat Puri and prawn Puri starters were great. Friendly staff, although we visited at 10pm and were asked to order quickly (restaurant states that it is open until midnight on a Saturday. That was the only negative. The restaurant has a nice selection of beers, with Cobra on draught and mongoose bottled beer 660ml. I haven't seen mongoose for years so it was interesting to try that (it's the original Cobra recipe). One friend had an Aspal's cider, it was a fancy version and 7% abv! I'll try takeaway next time. If it's as good as it was when dining in, then this will be my new go-to for takeaway.
