I ordered some Appetizers like Tandoori Masala Champ, Paneer Tikka and Aloo Tikki Chat on my husband's Birthday. But honestly speaking, the taste spoiled our day and made us realise we should not try to taste restaurants we have not tried before.... First of all the QUANTITY was not as per the amount was paid for each item. Secondly, Tandoori Champ was just TAKEN OUT from the Tandoor and then was PACKED TO DELIVER not any spices were sprinkled, TASTELESS. Paneer Tikka was only a PILE of RED CHILLIES, the Chef was forget to add salt. Last but not the least Aloo Tikki Masala was actually Aloo pakoda chat, not even a single time got taste of Aloo Tikki........ The Worst Experience ever..............

Ordered chicken and got a life-changing experience—if you’re a salt enthusiast. Honestly, I think the chef skipped the chicken and served me a block of Himalayan salt with garnish. My taste buds filed for early retirement, and I’m pretty sure I hit my sodium intake for the next decade. If you’re looking for flavor, keep walking. If you’re looking for a medical emergency, congratulations—you’ve found your place!"

I visited this restaurant for lunch with my family, I have been here a number of times and usually just as it is opening for lunch. It slowly becomes busier during service and by the time I leave it is a third full. The restaurant front is a little dated and needs updating but nothing major, it is in a small parade of shops across the road from Wickes. You can park on the side road or the Wicked car park but for a limited time. The restaurant is large with plenty of seating and enough space so you don’t feel closed in. The food is Indian cuisine and mainly in the Punjabi style, the fish pakoras and delicious by the way! Portions are large and food is usually very tasty, on one occasion the food didn’t taste as good as previous visits which I assume was because there was a different cook covering service. The food overall is lovely but the price could be a couple of pounds less in my opinion. I often end up having to take home half my meal lol, the lamb jalfrezi is excellent and very very spicy, naans, paratha, biryani’s and saag are some of my favourites. The toilets are clean but not big, there is a disabled toilet for anyone wondering. The service is good and friendly but sometimes i feel that they could use one more member of staff to take the pressure off. Overall I would recommend Desi Tadka and as I said I have visited it on numerous occasions. An amazing place to have similar to authentic food. Very clean and tidy comfortable sitting beautiful interior. BYOB is the a great thing as well all they ask is not to bring your mixers. Great recommendations from staff as well. A must visit.

Very disappointed with the service. Ordered chilli paneer for starters and the paneer was hard. I waited over an hour for my chicken madras to come whilst everyone else’s food had already come on my table. No apology or aknowledgement I won’t be coming here again. To top it off the curry was average not enough masala and less chicken. A joke really.

Spend a good amount on takeaway on Tuesday night. Order paneer tikka, but got shahi paneer instead (stale). Dal tadka wasn’t even fresh. Please improve your standard. Friendly staff but lower food quality.

Food is good when the place isn't busy, they struggle when does get busy. Quality is okay can at times struggle with consistency. No tap water? Have to buy bottles....just wrong. Card machine never seems to work, always want cash.... clearly don't like declaring! You can bring your own alchohol. Not really all that clean. Drunks can be annoying not recommended for kids in the evenings.

Very bad resturent. They refuse to provide tap drinking water which is by law they should provide. Instead of that they sell water bottle which cost 3.50 pounds . When i asked bill the manager /owner just wrote on piece of paper. Picture attached. It was saying on cash counter that card machine not working and when i said i did not have cash then suddenly maxhine started working. They refuse to provide proper reciepts with vat to customers and it is all seems to be tax fraud. The chappati provided was burned and he did not bother to care and issue appolgy. I wont recommend to go there and it also should be investiageted why they refuse to provide drinking water in resturent and loot customers by selling water bottel of more than 3 pounds.
