   Clean, tidy store with a good layout. Stock changes on a regular basis with. Prices range for a little too expensive through to great bargains. Came away with a decent quality suit for less than £100, tailored to a great fit and beating other suppliers of the same garments by a mile price wise. Some interesting seasonal items to be found in the homewares section and definitely worth a visit

   Went into the Bolton store today to take some school shoes back which were not fit for purpose and poorly made The young lady who dealt with me was very polite and pleasant and gave me my money back straightaway , she is a credit to the store and her team ! Also she told me they have a 100 day refund policy with school uniforms which is great ! Thank you matalan !

   Won't be going again, I ended up walking out and left items at the self serve till. The cashier said use the self serve till it will be quicker. So I left the queue and tried to use the self service only my card wouldn't scan. The cashier asked me to wait and she will come and help. In the meantime she carried on serving people in the queue that originally was behind me. So I left.

   I picked out several items in my local Matalan store and had them physically in my basket, only to find out there was an online-only promotion running at the same time. I asked if they could apply the same discount at the till — especially since the website says Click & Collect from the same store but was told they couldn’t do it in-store. This felt really disappointing. I had the exact same items in hand, in the same store I would have collected from, yet the discount was only valid if I ordered online and waited. It doesn’t make much sense. Surely if the items are in the store and I’m ready to buy, the same promotion should apply? I hope Matalan reconsiders how these promotions are handled. A bit more flexibility or clarity would go a long way for customers shopping both in-store and online. You just lost customer.

   Went to store haven't done shopping for ages as covid n now pregnant! Store was busy only 2 tills open stood in queue for ages, then went to the till as that one was the only 1 available it was a new starter on till he was taking his time then the manager came n said I should of gone to the self checkout don't understand why I should of as they were all full and I waited for my turn. She looked at me shocked as if I didn't speak English when I said repeat what u said she was shocked to hear that I can speak English... when asked can I speak to your manager she said i am the manager n kept on being rude left my stuff there as she was saying do u want to buy it or not I had to walk away...racists karen shouldn't be a manager!
