We had a family get together at Mumbai Zing this weekend. We had exclusive use of the whole restaurant for over three hours. The team at Mumbai Zing did not disappoint! We had a set menu that was served to our tables. The food was in abundance but without unnecessary wastage. We had three starters, three mains, sides and dessert. The restaurant also has a small narrow area connected to the main dining area which was great for the kids - we had set up activities for them and also served the children's food in this space. The service was exceptional. We had some people with different dietary requirements which were seamlessly catered for, including vegan, mild peanut allergy and no onion, no garlic. One family had to leave before mains were served, and a takeaway bag was prepared for them so they didn't miss out. Mumbai Zing provided us with an amazing all round experience with 5 star food, service and the perfect venue for a large group booking of almost 50 people, including 10 children. Thank you Mumbai Zing! Our menu included: Papadi chaat Veg manchurian Crispy bhajia Paneer tikka masala Channa masala Tadka daal Rice Naan and roti Salad Gulab jamun And chips for the children

We've been going to Mumbai Zing for over a year now, I'd say semi regularly and as they know us better now we always seem to get a very decent table and service is much improved since we first started going there. We have been enjoying the food, not sure if it's because there's a new chef or because they're taken feedback on board. Riya is always very attentive (she's the one constant staff member who's been there since we first started going there aside from the boss Vaibhav who's always also very welcoming when he's around). Hubby just loves the coffee that Riya makes for him, and we always ask specifically if she can make it as she makes it just how my fussy hubby likes it. The prices are very reasonable and the singers are very good. Only issue we've found a couple of times when it's not been very busy- they closed down early and shut down the live singers which was disappointing when we were expecting to stay there later. There are a handful of regulars who are there often who are very friendly and the recent refurb is pretty "cool", we love the artwork on the walls, sharing some photos with this review.

The family and I visited Mumbai Zing for the first time over the weekend after hearing about their live music nights. We were warmly welcomed by a lovely staff member who took great care of us throughout the evening. I initially asked for draught beer, but unfortunately, both the Cobra and Kingfisher taps were out of order, so I settled for bottled instead. For starters, we ordered a variety of dishes: mixed grill, chilli paneer, masala mogo, lamb chops, chilli chicken, paneer tikka, and bhajiyas. The paneer tikka, bhajiyas, and chilli chicken were all cooked to perfection. However, the mogo was over-fried and too crunchy, while the chilli paneer lacked that crisp texture. The mixed grill was a letdownβ€”seekh kebabs and chicken tikka were bland, and the lamb chops had an odd ghee-like smell. The wings, though, were quite enjoyable. Despite the mixed experience with the starters, the mains surprised us in the best way. We ordered the lamb curry and butter chicken, both of which were full of rich flavour. For dessert, we tried the gulab jamun with ice cream, but unfortunately, they didn't taste good. Portion sizes were on the smaller side, but the pricing seemed fair for what was offered. The restaurant looks really nice and vibrant, but the menus under the glass on the tables look really tacky. The highlight of the evening was definitely the live music. The two performers did a fantastic job, taking requests and engaging with the crowd, which created a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. Overall, it was a mixed experience, but I’d still go backβ€”especially for the mains and the music.

Have visited Mumbai Zing 3 or 4 times in the last month or so. The first couple of experiences, we experienced pretty poor and slow service and the mixed bhajia was pretty awful - potatoes were undercooked as were the rest of the items and our 2nd started took over 2 hours. Also there were SEVERAL items on our bill which we had not ordered which we didn't see till we got home. We enjoyed the music so went back a few weeks later and the service was a little bit better but this time the same dish that was undercooked the previous time was extremely overcooked and again there were items on our bill which we hadn't had, so we were given some money back in cash as they didn't want to redo the bill. Fast forward a couple of weeks later, I wanted to take a couple of colleagues who were in the UK for the first time to experience the live singers on a Friday night. Service was hugely improved and my colleagues had a great time but there was nothing with potato available on the menu, we wanted masala fries which they didn't have so the server recommended papri chaat which was pretty awful and my colleagues barely touched it. The chilli mushrooms dish however was very good. The bill was correct this time, at long last! My husband took me there again (for an early birthday treat) and this time we ordered a mixture of chilli mushrooms, chilli chicken and lamb chops, all of which were very good. All in all, the last 2 experiences made up for the previous ones but I won't give 5 stars based on the poor service initially and being overcharged on 2 separate visits. As an aside adding a 10% service charge was quite insulting on those visits when the service was nothing to write home about! They also seem to have a rather poor selection of drinks available, several times there was no rose wine available or prosecco but if you tell them in advance, they seem to pick some up from local off license but don't expect any decent wine. On other occasions we've had the Zing Platter which was good but make sure you tell them specifically (which you really shouldn't need to) to bring out your starters at the same time as they brought out 2 of the starters and the 3rd one more than 20 minutes later, despite chasing a couple of times... The venue is wheelchair accessible and parking is available nearby but not right outside. There is only one toilet available for ladies and gents and it does appear some evenings that the "gents" are going into the ladies which is evident from the wet floor!!! Live music was good on all visits, and the spicy dishes are definitely recommended.

Mumbai Zing offers an exceptional dining experience with its fantastic Indian cuisine. The menu ranges from traditional Indian-English favorites like Chicken Tikka Masala to more unique offerings. My personal favorite is the Chicken Lollipops in Chili Sauceβ€”an absolute must-try. The food is consistently spectacular, bursting with authentic flavors that truly impress. The service is another highlight; it’s always fast, friendly, and attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you step in. To top it all off, the beer selection is excellent, perfectly complementing the dishes. Whether you’re in for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, Mumbai Zing delivers a dining experience that keeps you coming back for more.

We've ordered from here several times before and the food has always been great, but last night my partner and I attended their Valentine's Day event and had an amazing time. We were treated to four courses of delicious food by the attentive and friendly staff, lovely live music and dancing all for a very reasonable price. Would strongly recommend Mumbai Zing any day of the year (except on Mondays, when they're closed!).

Had a private party here. From the moment you enter, you get the vibe of being in Mumbai. The chef works her magic in the dishes and they're super tasty! The bar has varied selection of alcohol and cocktails will be part of drinks menu soon. The staff is well trained and friendly, the owners themselves mingle with the customers and are available for your thoughts and suggestions. Would definitely go here again!
