i've been going to Zaika for many years and it never disappoints. I've tried all the famous and classic Indians around London but this one is just THE TASTIEST. A modern Indian restaurant done well. The food is truly delicious, the restaurant is beautiful and the staff lovely. It's just full of flavours! Just writing about it makes me salivate...
Not been before so tried their taster menu plus a scallop dish from the starters. Every item was packed with flavour, especially the scallops. The sauce was outstandly good. Service was fantastic too. Thanks for a great evening.
It had been a great day out with my daughter and we were now thirsty and looking for somewhere to relax and sample some cool cocktails, when we came across Zaika of Kensington a Indian restaurant & bar. It was a cold winter evening in November and the first experience was not only fantastic ambience with a very authentic décor, but we were also warmly welcomed by two very friendly front of house staff. We grab a seat at the expansive bar on the very comfortable stools and settled in to review the menu, we decided on the classic Singapore Sling and took in the very laid back and sophisticated vybe. Watching our bartender making our cocktails it was clear that he was very familiar with the required ingredients and also made it to a standard which I can closely compare with the original I had whilst on vacation in Singapore last year. The staff were professional and friendly and the drinks were amazing made with fantastic attention to detail and leaving us much warmer and both agreeing that it had been the perfect end to a great midweek uptown excursion. We will definitely be coming back to experience the full culinary experience and of course sample more of their amazing cocktails, the list is not long but what they do offer is curated to a very high standard.
A delightful surprise, with a cosy and intimate atmosphere. I could honestly say it was the most delicious Indian food I’ve ever tried: full of flavour and technically flawless. The bathrooms were spotless and carried a wonderful oriental scent of oud. Our waiter, Akbor, was charming with his recommendations and extremely kind and professional. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Walking by, stopped to look at the menu and decided we would give it a try. Very pleased we did. Probably the best of all the Indian restaurants we have eaten at in Central London (and that is quite a few). Service, food ambience - excellent. We will be back !!
My favourite Indian restaurant ever. Loved every single dish here, and always come back with my parents and siblings. Wish I was rich enough to dine here every night! I ordered the tasting menu at Zaika tonight, and it was the best meal I’ve had in a very long time! Everything was cooked perfectly, and the freshness of the spices and the flavor combinations were sensational. I finally get what people mean when they say that “the flavors were dancing on my tongue.” I will definitely recommend this restaurant to all of my friends who visit London.
This is the second time we've eaten here and it was even better than the first. My wife and I had the tasting menu which was superb quality and great value for money. Well done again guys Have recommended to friends and will return again soon Thank you
Nice decor and pleasant ambience, staffs are friendly. It’s an upscale one in a prime location. Not the traditional Indian cuisine but modern with few twists. I found the portion sizes too small though the food was quite nice. Given the prices charged, maybe they could be more generous.. Among all the dishes that we ordered, my favourite was the tiger prawn starter, so delicious and full of flavour. Another thing that I found quite odd is that I received their text message to confirm the booking, which I replied. Also received their email reminder. On the actual day, I still received their phone call and ask me to confirm my booking. I can’t help wondering was their booking system too ineffective, or did they have too many cancellations in the past? It was not full house on the day…
Probably the finest Indian I’ve been to in a London. All three courses were outstanding. Each dish was well balanced in the way it was cooked to the taste from the spices. My favourite was the lamb sheek kebabs and the chocolate rasmalai. Will definitely return again in the near future.
