It was our first time visiting and we had a delightful dining experience. Our son loves the Gurkha Salmon Makani and my favourite was the Sherpa Lamb. The lamb was flavourful, succulent and tender. Naan was fluffy and fresh. The manager and staff were very attentive. Service was top notch, keep up the good work! Would highly recommend.

So changed owners about 10 months ago and I'm pleased to say the food is still delicious. Family run establishment. The chicken sherpa is still on the menu plus adding the lamb naga but isn't a spicy as before. Love the nann bread here! Food here is definitely more refined the standard local Indian restaurants.
Booked for a large group and had a set menu that was excellent value. The food was fantastic and the service was great. Will definitely be returning:)
This was our first impromptu visit to Gurkha Square. The food was prepared with love and freshness, felt like eating at home. We tried a few dishes but our favourite was the sherpa lamb and the soft garlic naan. Hospitality was top notch and a special mention to the Manager, Gyanu. We will visit again!!!
Delicious food, lots of options, have eaten in and done takeaway, staff are lovely. Good value. Can't recommend highly enough.
I would thoroughly recommend eating at the restaurant as the service and food is excellent. We often eat there with our two small children and the team go out of their way to make them feel welcome and can’t do enough for them. Takeaway is usually good but doesn’t beat the dine-in experience. The first place we chose to eat post lockdown was the Gurkha Square and I would encourage if you like spice to consider the Sherpa chicken.
Ordered a Chicken Vindaloo and received a Chicken Tikka Massala Rice was watery and had a weird smell. Mango chutney and mint sauce also watery. Tikka Massala was average, I wouldn't recommend.
Food quality is very random. It’s good on some days but pathetic on others. If you call the restaurant, they are rude and talk very aggressively. They even put down the phone when I was trying to ask for recommendations, citing they are too busy. I will not be ordering from this place again as there are many other good options in our area.
We order from this restaurant every other week. And when we called today and asked for recommendations, we were told to “have made up our minds before we called as the restaurant was way too busy to talk on the phone so they can’t waste time on explaining ”. That’s just outrageous customer service and we will never be ordering from this place again! Absolute rubbish. Ginger &Spice is a much better place to go to and better staff.
