Food was good. Mixed grill was great so was the nihari. However, the service was appalling. Firstly, whilst we were eating, the waitress was on a personal call ON LOUDSPEAKER! Me and my wife were mortified especially because we were literally 1 meter next to the waitress. When my wife told her to turn the loudspeaker off, the waitress was completely oblivious to what we were asking her. Never thought we would have this issue, especially in a London restaurant. Secondly, we ordered the Keer desert, which wasn't great btw, and when the bill came, we were charged the volcano brownie or something (i forgot the name) but the price was £7.99. The keer which I ordered was £3.99 and when i informed the waitress the keer was not on the bill (i assumed this why by mistake), she explained that the keer is not an option on the till hence why the volcano brownie was added. BUT THIS WAS £4 MORE EXPENSIVE?! She apologised and added chips to the bill which was £3.50. Absolutely amateurish service and we were completely shocked by our experience. Definitely would not recommend.

Terrible experience, the gol gappe was terrible, the samosa chaat even worst, after complaining the waitress confess that they bring it from outside, we ordered Lahori fish that wasn't Lahori fish but more soufflé fish pakora, some of the pieces was empty inside... the staff looks tense, the owner not friendly at all ! be careful and check your bill, they tried to force us to pay service charge, we will be happy if the service was good, but it was very very slow , asked for water and we had to wait like 10mins for water ... And also owner was refusing to add the 25% off , that was the offer but we called and confirmed before coming in, anyways it's the last time we came, the owner said it doesn't matter if we come back or NOT , it put a bad ambiance for the end of our family dinner. I don't recommend Zamana restaurant at Ilford.

Zamana offers a delightful culinary experience with a platter that stands out for its rich, flavoursome taste certainly ranking among the best compared to other restaurants I've visited. The staff are welcoming and friendly, adding a warm touch to the ambience. However, the service tends to be on the slower side, which might require a bit of patience. Overall, Zamana is worth a visit for its exceptional flavours, though some improvement in service speed would enhance the dining experience.

Delicious Pakistani food without the high oil content often found elsewhere. The atmosphere and service was excellent too. Loved our experience and food. Portions are generous so took back some doggy bags.

We went for a Valentine's Day dinner, which as you might expect was fairly busy. For the night they hired a musician to play the harp, which was a nice touch although they left later in the evening. The restaurant itself looked modern, the outside was decorated quite nicely as well. Even so we were attended to quickly and given a table, which seemed rather small for a couple which was evident when the food arrived. The food itself is regular Pakistani cuisine - curries, rice and breads. The portions seemed smaller than other places but were nicely presented. There were some issues in getting the plates on the table, it seemed to be more of a cafe table than one for a restaurant. Parking is a bit difficult as there are limited spaces, plus it is by Woodford Avenue which can be congested at times so it would be advised to park in the side roads behind the restaurant, just beware the double yellow lines. Overall it was a nice night for a couples dinner, but they did have capacity for group dinners so it covered any requirements.

We went for first time. Food was great. We all loved the food. Service was great too. Only issue was with the noise. It was bit noisy even when restaurant wasn't full. I think they need to something to manage echos. We will definitely go again.

Very nice decor and interior. Really enjoyed my visit to Zamana. Food was really good. Ordered a variety of different starters and mains. Only managed to take a few pics. Ordered karak chai at the end, it was great, not overly sweet like some of the others. Also free refills which is a bonus. Staff also very friendly and hospitable. Would definitely recommend Zamana.

I was recommended to come here, and I'm so glad I did. We forgot to book in advance (as they get very busy on weekends - make sure you book if you want to go!), but they still very kindly accommodated us. We were extremely impressed - The food was all excellent, all delicious and properly cooked, arrived quickly. Service was amazing too, waiters and management were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was good. A lot of families, parents with infants and groups of friends. Bathroom was very clean, well-equipped and the decor is up to date as well. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, I'll be coming again!

Lovely restaurant with a modern ambience. Really enjoyed the starters, the lamb chops in particular were very tender and delicious. The chicken Karahi was very nice with the the right level of heat. Customer service was very professional with friendly. Will return, it's a shame no alcohol is served but the food is definitely worth the visit anyway. Mocktails looked good on the menu but we didn't try any on this occasion.
