   Absolutely fabulous - stuffed full of lovely ingredients. I was unsure what I wanted in it but both members of staff were really helpful and the end result was superb - pulled pork !

   I’ve visited this place a lot In the past and always found it great. However, recently the quality in service (rude staff), increase in prices, and reduction in meal size is out of hand. Portions have been one more expensive, smaller and of lower quality whilst other local retailers haven’t increased their prices. This may be due to summer? Could and have done much better.

   Had my first burrito today!!! I chose jackfruit. Wow. So much goodness. So tasty. All vegan too! And served with a smile by two fun and friendly chaps. Very reasonable price.. but didn't accept cash (Hopefully that changes) Thankyou so much. Will definitely revisit.

   Buenos dias. I hail from a land adjacent to Mexico, which, while not granting me absolute authority to evaluate the quality of burritos, nonetheless gives me some insight. I have lived and toiled in the UK for nearly a decade. In this time, I have been disappointed more times than I care to tell the reading public when I try and order burritos and tacos in this country. In fact, I have become disappointment incarnate such that I haven’t sought to buy Mexican food in two years. However, on a cheeky sojourn to York for a weekend jolly with the Mrs, we ambled past this joint at the Shambles Market and it spoke to me. Having eaten just before then, I vowed we would return the following day. Which we did. We were not disappointed. In fact, it was the best burrito I’ve ever had in this country. The rice and beans, which are usually the most neglected portion of any attempt at burritos rolled in this country, were on point. The meats, which feature prominently at Smokehouse, were delightful. I had the beef shin Barbacoa. The wife had the pork. This rivals some of the dishes I have had in the US. They offer all the necessary fixings: lime, “corriander”, guac, salad. They also have a powerful chipotle mayo and a tasty hot sauce that is quite temperate. In short, my dear readers, next time I’m in York I’ll be coming back here. And I cannot recommend more strongly that you try it yourself.

   The creme de la creme of a vibrant food court, their Burritos are exceptionally good with decent portion sizes and cost a fraction of the price that commercial restaurants would charge. The ingredients taste really fresh too, particularly the chicken tighs and the salsa verde. Couldn't recommend a visit enough.

   After much deliberation today with the family on where to grab lunch we decided to eat from here, the guys were really friendly and so helpful, we all love street food and it was great getting involved with your options!! The food was amazing and sooo tasty, fresh and flavourful! we will 100% be making this one of our favourites when visiting York!
