Used to love this place—but service has gone downhill. Ordered online expecting a 25-min pickup, waited nearly 45. Paid for 7 items, got only 5. No Sag Paneer, no Aloo Gobi, no complimentary samosas as promised. Staff seemed overwhelmed and phones were switched off. After a decade of loyalty, I’m genuinely disappointed.

The food is delicious with reasonable price- however when we were dinning in , one person at our table had meat allergy and were served meat samosas when we originally ordered vegetarian option. When ordering online- three deliveries been lost handed over to the different address , when calling the restaurant we been explained that the driver been trying to call the door as well as the number but no one answered, refunds been never issued although requested. Food never arrives on time and you have to wait for 1.5-2 hours after placing an order. Perhaps they treat you nice if you’re a Bengali. As I said food is delicious. Just make sure you collect to save you the stress of not getting your order on time or not getting it at all.

Brilliant evening from start to finish! Wonderful service by our friendly and attentive waitresses. Head of house showed genuine appreciation towards us/his customers too. Our starters, sides and mains were perfectly cooked and presented, and tasted absolutely delicious! A large choice of food on the menu, excellent value with very good portion sizes. The five of us had the most pleasant and enjoyable experience, especially to celebrate a joint birthday and retirement. Thanks for the complementry drinks also :) Looking forward to our next evening!

Highly Recommended! I recently had dinner at Indian Ocean in Romford, and I can't recommend it enough. The food was absolutely delicious, with vibrant flavors and fresh ingredients. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, perfect for a relaxing meal. Whether you're a fan of traditional Indian cuisine or looking to try something new, Indian Ocean offers a wonderful dining experience. I'll definitely be coming back!

First time in restaurant....and will go back again .... Firstly I'd like to take this opportunity to state that the owner has a great idea in having female waitresses....it was nice to see and should be the same across all restaurants....it added a nicer more relaxed feeling for customers... Food was perfect amount and cooked perfect... ambiance and cleanliness was second to none.. Staff constantly cleaning tables and floors...which in my eyes shows that they take pride in the restaurant and everything is clean. Staff was attentive constantly ensuring everything was ok.... Owner was around and was ensuring that everyone was dealt with promptly and orders were delivered on time... Will 100% return

I went there for food today and have seen so many delivery drivers come to pick the food. Unfortunately most of the drivers left the restaurant without picking the food. I have asked a waiter why the food is not ready for delivery. Imagine if I was ordered for delivery from this restaurant I would never do that. Lots of restaurants nearby and try some other places. Feel sorry for the people who ordered online.

I've ordered food from this Restaurant before very begrudgingly using the just eat app... The food has Always been a great with their interpretation of modern British Indian cuisine... While the food isn't wildly different or experimental or ground breaking,,, what you'll get here are solid examples of traditional modern British Indian restaurants cuisine... Since I wasn't too far away from their restaurant I decided that instead of ordering via an app... I'd actually sit in and order a meal... I ordered their king prawn biryani which is Always fantastic but instead of the regular curry sauce that comes with it as standard... I asked for a prawn Rogan Josh instead and obviously I'd pay for the difference in costs... I tend to ask for custom modifications to my dishes in restaurants... The chef could NOT possibly have pre cooked the food and kept it sitting around waiting for the next customer to arrive... they'd have to cook it fresh.... or not be able to supply the dish with the modifications that I requested... I Also ordered onion bhaji's and sheek kebabs... The all arrived fairly quickly and they were as expected... the food tasted great and was well presented and considering the recent increase in the costs of the raw ingredients and fuel prices and operating costs of the restaurant... the price was reasonable.... In fact... although the portions sizes were a fairly standard take away container sized portions... I couldn't finish it it one sitting so the staff kindly brought me several take away containers and helped me pack it up for take away.... They even introduced me to their head chef and I honestly felt like a maharaja as they did everything excepted to make me feel comfortable and very welcome in their fantastic establishment... I'd easily recommend that you come here for a decent standard of modern British Indian cuisine... in my experience they've never missed the mark... ever.... if possible... do sit in the restaurant instead of getting a takeaway as you get all the benefits of table service at no additional cost.... and you can get precise adjustments to your dishes that you can't get from ordering on apps.... They are more than happy and willing to adjust the amount of chill and spices and make alterations to your dishes upon request... so yeah.... You can order a korma with so much chilli it burns... or a vindaloo with no chilli and spices... but quite why you'd do this is beyond me... lol... But they are most accommodating and will blend dishes as requested to your tastes...! I didn't check but I'm sure that they have plenty of vegetarian options available... the restaurant was well lit bright and airy... furniture and decor were of a reasonably good quality and standard for a small restaurant of this type... Definitely worth considering if you fancy a decent curry at a reasonable price...

Had a curry missing from my order leaving me with just rice and nan.Managed to get a part refund but my meal was completely ruined. The food was sub par and won't be ordering from them again. The Tandoori didn't have that have distinctive oven taste that gives it flavour. I doubt many Indian people eat here and its a shame as I was looking forward to eating some good food.

First visit, parking for 5 or 6 cars in front but we managed to park easily on the opposite side of the road (care - some spaces are double yellow lines). Recommended by a friend and I add my recommendation to hers. Choice and quality of food superb, up there with the very best we've had. Recommend lamb shanks and mixed grill, but everything looked and tasted great. Didn't have a starter and just as well as portions were a good size. Had a poppadom each instead and even the dips were excellent. Try the lime pickle with chickpeas, excellent. Price was very reasonable, 3 beers and a bottle of wine between 4, main course and sides, about £25 a head. Don't be put off by a couple of surly waiters, with food this good you can suffer a little bit of moody service. Oh, and they had run out of Cobra Zero so the driver had to move on the water, also no Baileys for the complimentary drink, but can't really allow that to detract from the high quality of the food. We'll be back!
