   This place had gone downhill, chicken curry horrible and has been past few times. Watery curry sauce and soppy onions. Chips all hard and just terrible. Can't anyone make a good chicken curry on pontefract???!

   Delivery guys were spot on, but the company that employs them are a SHAMBLES!! I am disgusted with their delivery service!! I want efficient ordering service and efficient delivery it’s not hard. Waiting an hour is unacceptable

   Again, let down badly as we were promised 15 minutes delivery time and when I phoned after an hour - was told it would be 15 minutes as just cooking it now as they were 'busy'. So.. if they were that busy when I called, why not say it will be 80 minutes!? We've been customers for years but not being taken the mickey of so not using again . All we expected was honesty. Nope.

   Poor service, ordered food and waited over an hour and a half, walked to the takeaway and they had only just started cooking it when we got there, but still they were answering the phone to take more orders, even though they were clearly well behind. Some of order was missing too but with how everything went we just couldn't be bothered to try get what we ordered. Poor service.

   I’m actually getting sick with Lotus Garden robbing people out of money and always being late. Last night, we ordered a take away (but did collection because delivery can be 2 hours!) and we were told it would be ready in 20 mins. Got there and ended up waiting almost 40 mins in the Chinese for the food! We said at this point can we have some compensation for the wait and they said no. Drove home to find some of our food missing. We called back up and they told us to drive back to get the missing items. I then explained that would mean all of our food going cold whilst we drive back (so our time and money) fixing their error so they need to send someone to deliver what we’re missing. They said they would do this straight away. 2 hours later, nobody had turned up. We then went back to the Chinese (after we’d eaten what we had) to complain and the lady - who is clearly in charge but has no understanding of decency or customer service - said she wouldn’t refund us for our meal. I explained that the meal was ruined. She replied with ‘How is it ruined when you were only missing pancakes and sauce?’ I’m sorry but how else are you supposed to eat duck pancakes? She then agreed to refund for the pancakes and then walked into the back, like the coward she is, whilst saying that is all she’ll give us. We’ve had a similar situation before but didn’t want to write them off… I think it’s safe to say, we won’t be using Lotus Garden any time soon.

   First and last time using this place. Waited 1 hour 45 minutes for a delivery to arrive so sent it back and had a pizza.

   First time I've used the takeaway as it was recommended but don't think I will return,only ordered 2 mains with 2 rice When I got home,5 miles away,I found 3 rice,1 main and a side portion not a good 1st impression so won't be using again or recommending.

   Food is really nice great sized portions and quick delivery. Delivery driver is always smiling and polite. Try the munchbox it's great for when you can't decide what you want to eat
