We ordered food, we waited for our food to come only to ring them to see where it was and they said they had cancelled it we never received a refund until we called just eat ourselves to find out they had never cancelled my order. Never order from them again!!!
Just ordered from here and the staff are lovely and polite. The food we ordered was some of the best Chinese food I’ve had, all hot and fresh and the portion sizes are very generous!
I ordered quarter chicken and chips, I started to eat it from the outside, as I got to the middle and cut it, The chicken was still frozen. I called the Chinese to be told to take it up with “Just Eat”!! Funny thing is just eat didn’t cook my meal. Horrible food and disgusting service. Such a same!!
Ordered sweet n sour chicken with egg fried rice and salt n pepper chips.. It was all clap cold. Rice didn’t have any egg in whatsoever and was cold. The chicken tasted funky. The salt and pepper chips were stodgy and rewarmed. Rang to complain about the order and they refused to a refund, they wanted to cook another meal and we’d refused that cos their food was vile. The food is still in our kitchen waiting to be picked up by so called restaurant, they WANT to collect the food to check it but they don’t wanna give a refund. Contacting ombudsman and trading standards and will splash this EVERYWHERE. Disgusting vile food being cooked by stoned cooks cos they too busy smoking wacky backy in the back door..
We always order our evening meal here when we stay over at Leeds. This time we visited the takeaway rather than delivery at our hotel. It's the one thing we look forward to as it reminds me of my parents takeaway. My favourite Cantonese spring rolls are the best, tasty and crispy. Sweet & sour pork always tangy and good portion size. Roast pork fried rice lovely. Side portions generous too. Shame we live 300 miles away but we always make a special order or trip there. Highly recommended
Picked the Great Wall based on their recent reviews and unfortunately wish we hadn’t. The positives - order was taken efficiently over the phone and was ready to be picked up when we arrived. The negatives - the hot and sour and chicken and sweet corn soups, along with the salt and pepper ribs ordered had a strange sweetness to them as if the chef had mixed up the salt and sugar during cooking. The Malaysian-chicken satay main wasn’t the best either with the chicken barely evident and what we did find was stringy and not particularly nice. In general portion sizes were on the small size to what we have had from other takeaways locally. Maybe we were just unlucky and the chef was having a bad day or had the day off but unfortunately based on last nights meal we won’t be back to try again.
Went here by accident. Got my Great walls confused. Glad I did. Really nice and friendly service And the food was actually really nice. I travel around the UK and eat many Chineese in various cities and this ones probably one of the nicest I’ve had. Good portions, things like the ribs are proper big ribs. The crispy duck was delicious, same with the satay and chicken balls. Alan
