Complaint Regarding Unapplied Promotion on purchase 24.08.25 at Cotton Traders, Country Market, Bordon. Dear Cotton Traders, I visited your store and purchased two polo tops. The promotion advertised was "Buy 2, Get Β£5 off," in addition to a 20% discount on the day. The sales assistant put the items through the till but only the 20% was taken off and not the buy one get Β£5 off the second item. The cashier attempted to apply the discount but found the till system didn't apply all discounts. They confirmed it should have applied all the discounts and showed me their instructions, which clearly shows all discounts should have been applied. Unfortunately the cashier wasn't able to apply the Β£5 discount. The discrepancy between the company's internal instructions and the functionality of your point-of-sale system is unacceptable. It is misleading to both staff and customers to advertise a promotion that cannot be processed at the till. I request that the Β£5 discount be refunded to me. I have attached the photo of the internal document for your reference.

I would like to give no stars but that isnβt an option. I opted out of all further contact and yet still get bombarded with emails and brochures. What is frightening is that I moved house and somehow you now have my new address to continue to send brochures even though I only made a single purchase as a gift for my mother and now I canβt get rid of you! I find it disgraceful that given the state of the world you still willingly waste paper and have no care for your carbon footprint. I have emailed and requested that you remove my contact details from your database and I sincerely hope this is carried out without having to make a formal complaint

My husband &I have been customers of cotton traders for many years now we r now considered as βgold β members most of the items have been good quality we have always been happy & with Evri that have always been on time. Unfortunately we had to return some base layers that were meant to be white instead were a horrible yellow colour all 6 were the same my husband got in touch with customer service to ask about returning them for white ones the automatic response said they would get in touch 3/4 days it never happened we took them to our nearest cotton trader outlet in Denny Stratford who sent them back faulty with a reason attached we got an auto mated reply saying sometimes you donβt get what you want this is not good enough it has deterred us from purchasing from them again because good customer service is very important to us

They don't do any credit. I had to pay for 4 pairs of jeans. I can understand why but seemed a bit harsh. I did get a refund when 2 pairs were received back

I was told the quality is on par with M&S. Simply not true, from the few items i've purchased from Cotton Traders, the quality feels cheap and this is consistent. The worst part is, their customer service is by far the worst i've experienced. Just appalling, be prepared to wait for over a week just for a reply followed by a completely unhelpful response.

Good deals in the sales but of no use when sizes or colourways sold out before customers receive catalogue, especially when they are 'gold' customers. There's something for most people and not just rugby shirts any more. My time working in the inbound call centre was not a very pleasant experience, no motivation or sticking to training structure, wrong info given to us from the start, managers/supervisors constantly not practising what they preach/demand, pressure to keep call length very short is not customer-focussed in any way and considering that a good 75% of their clients are elderly or have impairments such as hearing/eyesight/health issues - certainly not the sort of Customer Service I've been brought up on! At the end of the day - they sell products.
