I contacted Millar as I needed a new pot support after dropping mine. The site was showing out of stock so I emailed asking when they were due back in. Not only did they respond quickly they sourced me a new pot support and got it to me ASAP.
Five years down the road and having had heavy usage our hob still looks good and is working as well as ever. Very happy with our choice.
I bought the 90cm gas hob probably three years ago and was pleased with the delivery, quality and operation of the hob. However now several years down the line I have just had to order a second cast iron pan support….these seem to crack for no reason. Also there are metal covers which sits between the glass top and each burner which are coated in some way and this coating has chips in now in several of the burners as though they have ‘popped’ due to the heat. Finally the edges on one of the burner covers has got chips and cracked away. This hob has always been cleaned and cared for….overall I would have expected it to remain in better shape and not to have to buy pan supports every year. I think the quality of the product is good for a year but falls away after that.
Never order from this company, I can share mails and messages with anyone, they are atrocious after sales, if you want more, feel free to contact me before you even think about buying.
