We have eaten here for over 35 years and have always had a fantastic meal. The food is truly magnificent and the staff are so friendly. Penn & Natt are the owners working hard there every day. Both are lovely people. It is simply the best Thai in town. 5 stars plus always. Always fresh and fragrant. So tasty ! Cheers. Dean

Friendly local restaurant. Very welcoming and polite staff. Food was great and good value. Non alcoholic beer also served.the restaurant kindly boxed up what we couldn't eat in takeaway containers.
WOW. I do not usually take the time out of my busy day to write any reviews. On a trip away from home for a while, one night I decided to go into town for something to eat. Upon entry I was greeted by lovely staff members who kindly sat me at my table. I had ordered beef noodle soup which I was looking forward to as I have never had it before. All I can say is that I was blown away by the tender beef and the burst of flavours, made me feel right at home in some way. I will purposely come back to this restaurant, even if it is not a part of my busy schedule. The family that run this authentic Thai Restaurant are amazing and are a real treasure to the area. I would suggest that anyone that can, please try, as you will NOT regret it.
I went there with my wife for her birthday dinner. Notwithstanding she is Punjabi, Thai is her favourite food and thus she is very particular about the quality. Both of us found the welcome very warm and friendly from the family running it. My wife was in an indecisive mood when it came to both food and drinks, and the lovely owner and her daughter were very helpful in selecting the right mixture of dishes and wine. The flavour and quality of the food was absolutely exquisite. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant. We plan to go there any time we are in Chelmsford.
Took my daughter for lunch at Lanthong. My daughter and I had the lunch menu. We chose Spare ribs and Prawn Pad Thai. The Spare Ribs were amazing unfortunately the Pad Thai was not, the Pad Thai tasted of nothing but sweet and sour sauce. Very disappointed.
My wife is Thai and loves the food here. Do a really good lunch deal ; starter and main plus Tea or Coffee for £9.95
This is a great hidden jem. Up the stairs into the ole thai restaurant. They have a great selection of dishes. The staff are always great and the food has always come out piping hot. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
