   Very expensive for what you get. The food was bland and not particularly good, but there was a lot of it. Sweet and sour sauce was watery and had no flavour. They don't accept cards (which is always a bit of a red flag) so I had to go to the cashpoint to pay in cash.

   Would give it 0 stars if possible! Used to be an amazing chinese but I had one last night and have woke up extremely ill. Ordered chicken balls, all of which were hard and pink in the middle. Rice seemed like it had just been sat out for hours, extremely stale and had a funny taste. Will not be returning here

   Ordered today 18. 10. 24. It took 90 minutes to be delivered. When I asked after an hour I was told 10. 15 minutes. I phoned after 20 minutes and was told another 15 minutes. Then was told the driver is late because of the rain. . The order came and it was wrong . Very very rude staff. They kept hanging up on me. I will never use this again. Absolutely dire. .

   Ordered from here today, spent over £30. The chicken balls were mostly dough, the beef chow mien was very bland, the rice smelt off, the chips were stale and old. Phone and asked for a refund and was told I couldn’t get one but could have more food cooked fresh. I declined as the rice was off and didn’t want more sending. A complete waste of money, it all went in the bin. Don’t not recommend this Chinese and would not be ordering from here again.

   Delivery driver extremely rude, he came to the back door as requested, knocked once then walked off not giving us any time to answer the door and then had the audacity to start shouting down the phone refusing to come back to the door to re-deliver, when he finally did come back, he was just as rude, shoved the food in our hands then walked off without saying good bye. Very disappointed in the customer service

   The original Cantonese founder no longer manages this place unfortunately. I hope the new owner retains the traditional “Canton King” standard. Just before COVID happened in 2020, the original boss sold the shop. I have been coming here since 2013 and have been coming here on a quarterly basis since. Its my favourite Chinese takeaway up in the North of England. They provide “King” size portions in comparison to competitors at a reasonable and fair price! This has been their main selling point since they opened! In my whole life of eating Chinese takeaways, not a single place has ever beaten Canton King’s value for money in terms of portion sizes! I was blown away by the portion size when I first came here! Their taste is very standard and generic. Do not expect very tasty Chinese like down in London! I recommend coming here if you are very hungry!
