   I’m still eating it as I type, but I had to rush over asap to type this because the food is absolutely stunning! It is the most authentic Chinese food I have ever tried, all the flavours are well balanced, the portion sizes are very generous for the price, and the staff are so friendly. Easily accessible even by public transport too. I cannot say enough how much I love this food, every bite keeps getting better- might sound exaggerated but genuinely good food in the UK is hard to come by and this place deserves all the praise!!!!

   have been this restaurant many times in the passed years. this is first visit after covid. we booked a table for 8 on 5pm sunday (new years eve). the place was empty but soon been very busy at 6pm. so advise you to book a table in advance. the spicy lamb spine stew was good (羊蝎子) and one dish can serve up to four people. we also ordered other dishes such as steamed sea baas, belly pork with pickle vegetable (梅菜扣肉)，毛血王，(pig' blood with other meats and vegetable), 木須肉，韭菜盒(garlic chive cake), steam bun, dessert sticky roce wine cooked with sticky rice balls (酒釀小丸子)，spent over£45, we got 口水鸡(red chilli oil chicken)just for £1. we also got dessert red bean paste (红豆沙)for free. overall dishes were delicious. the only 木须肉dish was not good which can be improved.

   A really complex, borderline profound, experience. I could write an article on the wider issue of Chinese food in the UK; there are always two menus. Unless you are stared down as Chinese, you are getting the plain jane vanilla menu of British food; chicken balls, chow-mein and congealed sauces. I finally had a breakthrough at Tin Tin. On the third request after entering, the helpful waitress finally let us see the Chinese menu, the real menu. Here, one has access to spiced pig ears, lamb bone broths and cold, nutty noodles. All other Chinese students in the restaurant were sharing hotpots and tucking in with their plastic gloves to gnaw on the bones. Finally, I could take part. The restaurant itself is in a sad state and most of the customers/students are in a phone-scrolling daze. However, I was able to try two entirely new, tasty dishes; access, essentially, to an entirely new cuisine. This culture isn't going to change in the UK any time soon, as long as restaurant owners fear the wrath of one-star reviews from the sesame toast and chicken ball army. Clearly, Tin Tin is suffering from exactly this and should be proud. Oh, I recommend the Xian Xian Mian - great addition of peanuts and cucumber to the chewy noodles.

   Authentic traditional Chinese dishes and British takeaway style dishes too. Very delicious double cooked pork. I think the bad reviews are mostly from silly people expecting a boring old British Chinese takeaway and getting delicious, proper Chinese food which they aren't appreciating.

   We ate the House Special lamb ribs pot (£29). Of course, there was more bones than meat, a style not well expected by the local thus unfairly attracting their bad reviews. We as Cantonese are appreciative of bone nutrition and its taste 口感 but would not really be in a good position to say the pot was a good representation of North-west Chinese cuisine 東北菜. However, the pot, not hot at all, tasted very pleasant to our satisfaction. In particular, the pot had no fat and the soup 清湯 was tasteful, seemingly without MSG. We hadn't tried other dishes which if prepared under the same diligence (I know it takes lots of time & effort to make such a pot, thus are prepared in advance) should be at least of good standard.
