   Real Italian in Wapping. It’s been around for years, at a different location close by before. A lot of the team are still the same from 10 years ago. The food is excellent, fair price, generous portions and top quality. Pasta is homemade and amazing, good pizzas and other Italian classics. The steaks are well worth a try, as well as the various specials they have on from time to time. Nice selection of Italian wines, perfect to accompany the authentic Italian dishes. Booking required especially during busy periods (weekend/christmas), suitable for a couple or bigger groups. Always well looked after here and have been many times.

   Dear Il Bordello Team, I hope you are well. I am writing as a loyal customer who has been ordering from and dining with Il Bordello for over six years. Unfortunately, my recent order was extremely disappointing, and I felt it was important to bring this to your attention. I paid £40 for two dishes – the spaghetti bolognese and the gnocchi – and the portions I received were far below the standard I have always known from Il Bordello. The spaghetti bolognese had almost no meat in it, and the gnocchi arrived with virtually no sauce at all. Both dishes looked noticeably sparse and lacked the quality and generosity your restaurant is known for. I’ve attached photos for reference. Given the price and my long history as a customer, I expected the usual Il Bordello standard, but this was unfortunately not the case. I kindly request that you look into this issue, as I would appreciate either a replacement or appropriate compensation. Thank you for your attention.    A genuine Italian spot with real Italian management and friendly service. The seafood pasta is always good and perfectly cooked, and the tiramisu is incredible. I’ve been back many times and highly recommend it, though prices have noticeably risen over the past year.

   It's a nice place, food was good and portions generous. I had the burata pesto and prosciutto melon for starters, both were good, and we had the crab ravioli and rib-eye with pepper sauce which was also very good, but not quite to the level of amazing hence the 4* rating. Note that there is a 10% service charge added to the bill, which is alright. I hope the staff get it.

   I had an amazing experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was outstanding. The food truly captures the authentic taste of Italy—rich, flavorful, and made with care.    Great food and great service. We had Ravioli Tartufo (Truffle Ravioli) and a Bufala Mozzarella pizza - both deelish. Italian cheeses and Tira Misu for dessert. all vgood. RECOMMEND.

   Wow, I just found my favourite Italian restaurant, such a warm and inviting atmosphere, the food was sublime and the service was fantastic. I had the Minestrone Soup as a starter, this was so nice with thick slices of vegetables but the Spaghetti Carbonara was so nice that I'm already planning on coming back here to have it again. Wow - superb!

   Excellent customer service! Massive portions, great old school Italian vibe, nice venue and friendly atmosphere. The area is so peaceful, one of my favourite for an afternoon/night walk.    Great, friendly service and delicious food. Generous portion sizes too - don't expect to finish a whole pasta dish if you have a starter too! Busy even at 4pm on a rainy Sunday afternoon - a testament to its popularity.
