   We are holidaying in the area and had been recommended to visit the cherry pie, so glad we did , met with a lovely warm and friendly welcome , very accommodating as we had not booked , shown to a lovely dinning room , made our dog extremely welcome with biscuits a blanket and some treats . The food and service were top notch , really enjoyed it . Would definitely recommend if your in the area

   Our 1st visit to the Cherry Pie last Wednesday to celebrate my wife's birthday. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted by Simon who immediately made us feel welcome. A brilliant host! The menu was comprehensive and very reasonably priced. Our food quickly arrived and was really tasty. It was so good that we had 3 courses when we normally only have 2. It was served by very friendly staff. At the end of night, Simon found time to come and have a good chat with us and find out if we had enjoyed the evening. He made us feel that we were really valued customers unlike a lot of other places these days. A really enjoyable evening. We'll certainly be going back to this fabulous restaurant sometime in the future. Highly recommended. Thank you Simon. Alan and Marjorie.

   This place is absolutely beautiful on the outside as well as the inside. The staff are amazing, friendly and very welcoming, the food is decent quality for the money and the staff are always around to help out in any way they can. I would definitely recommend to others.

   Went for Sunday lunch last week. Booked for 6 adults and a small dog. When we arrived, to a lovely welcome from Simon, we were shown to a table in a quiet side room, complete with dog bed, water bowl and treats (which were soon consumed, then, to Nel's delight, were replaced). The service was attentive and fast, and the food was hot, delicious and plentiful. All of us would be more than happy to eat here again.

   Absolutely wonderful food and hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Food came to the table together and hot. What we liked most was the food was proportional and a nice size with shared veg etc. However for those who may of had a slightly bigger appetite than others, it was asked if we would like more chips and veg. That in my opinion is a good idea as it less waste rather than sending out a massive plate of food and people unable to finish leaving lots. A good restaurant with positive food distribution which is of high quality. Looking forward to returning.

   This is a lovely family owned country pub. It is clearly popular with the locals, which I always think is a good sign. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the landlord and his staff. The food was really delicious and morish. I had plaice for main followed by a banana split. My friend had cottage pie followed by an Eton mess. Both of us really enjoyed the food and the ambience within the pub. This pub is an absolute gem well worth visiting for a meal.

   We had our anniversary dinner at The Cherry Pie last night. This is a lovely little restaurant with friendly owners. Our meal was delicious. We had 3 courses followed by coffee. They had a good choice of bottled beer and wines and spirits as well as a few on draught. The menu is varied with something to please everyone. I would definitely recommend this lovely place and we will be going there again. Friendly staff, great food in a beautiful building. What more could you want.
