Unlike one of the reviews on here, I don't look for a place where everyone looks round if you so much a sneeze. Every type of cafe/bar has people using laptops so you can't avoid it. You have to live with the times. This place is almost perfect. I love the people, the way they serve things to you and the food is delicious. I can't say enough about their drinks like cappuccino and their other special drinks. (Get the Black Forest one with cream). The only downside is Shepheard St. I'ts an old victorian shady street that needs a clean. The owner of Bru'd should push the council to resuface the road as it would brighten up the area and attract more people to the businesses down there.

Lovely little cafe bar. Great and efficient staff. And enjoyable food.

The food was nice however the cafe appears to be a drop in centre for workers who sit with their lap tops out and on their phones. Very noisy and we had to sit next to a bloke on his phone speaking with a client getting all her financial details for the whole cafe to hear. Not a very relaxing atmosphere

Absolutely superb, high quality ingredients used for everything The cortado was delicious , and the smoked salmon bagel spot on Lovely ambience and great service The town should come out and support small businesses like this, people who are really making a difference.

Fantastic customer care, price and service from the team. Really enjoyed the atmosphere here meeting a friend for a catch up. Will definitely return and kudos on the business for expanding for more customers. Looking forward to returning soon. Thanks again !

Definitely the best cafe I've been to. The coffee is amazing and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly, the decor is beautiful and it's really clean and tidy. I had a gluten free new yorker sandwich which was really nice. Usually its hard to find gluten free bread that doesn't crumble when you touch it but the gluten free bread was really nice. I've taken a few of my friends and family here and would always keep coming back.

Food is lovely. The salmon bagel was so good I ordered a second. The waffles are also outrageous! The staff are always super welcoming to me and my family, putting in the effort of accommodating our baby/pram even with the limited space. Best coffee in town too. Will be a regular customer for as long as this place is open!

We love finding hidden gems and Bru’d Awakenin is another. Having popped in for a little brunch the other day, we were thoroughly impressed - impressed enough that we’ll be making another trip soon, especially for the pancakes! The American Style Pancake Stack with Choc Nut & Fresh Fruit [£6.50] was absolutely delicious, with ample amount of fruit & chocolate stacked in each layer The Mediterranean Toasted Sandwich [£6.95] & the Mocha [£3] were good too, but the pancakes won the day
