The food is expensive and the cakes were a little stale. The service was a little slow. The atmosphere was nice and staff kept the floor and tables clean.
Had a lovely bite to eat after watching family take part in one of the runs that was going on around Heaton Park. Quick service considering it was moderately busy, very delicious food and coffee. Our server Jam was very friendly, great service all round!
My daughter had her birthday party at the lakeside cafe and I couldn’t recommend more! It was a lovely day, the area was all set up before we arrived, I had txt confirmation on the morning of the party. The food was amazing, really good quality and more than enough to go around. The staff were really friendly and helpful especially Sarah who organised it all. Thank you so much for a wonderful day
I popped in with my daughter today as it was a lovely day, only to be greeted by who l would assume is the manager (The only one I seen not wearing an apron, which is very unhygienic, regardless of position.) Shouting very loudly and aggressively at her staff. This is a very bad look for your company. It made the atmosphere completely unwelcoming and very unfriendly. I decided to not purchase any products and take my money elsewhere. This needs to be rectified..
I booked a dome for afternoon tea for partners birthday. Food was delicious. I had the vegan option which was really well thought out rather than just dupes of the classic. We were served by Angel who was very polite, professional and helpful. Angel went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed and extra as its been such a hot day. Angel made sure the children were kept hydrated. Thank you Angel
A lot better than what was there prior, but doesn't take a whole lot up beat that Decent food options, hot coffee that's not terrible. Fairly pricey for some of the options with this being in a park too, but it's a nice place and the portions are good sized so it's not agregious. Service is fast if you're having anything ready made. But if you want anything warm (including a simple sandwich in a press) you'll be waiting a while Again the coffee is ok, but takes a while to be made, so expect a small wait. I've been to this cafe multiple times and had similar wait times throughout
I had a very positive experience when going to the boating lake cafe I struggle with my eye site and couldn’t rearly see the menu I was served by a young lady with blonde hair and she had a few piercings I didn’t catch her name she was very helpful and she explained what was on the menu so I could choose what I wanted she was extra helpful in asking me to take a seat and that she would bring my food and drink over to me. I was impressed how considerate she was and helpful she was. I will be using the boating lake cafe again as your young colleague was polite, helpful and respectful to my needs.
Employees need to strengthen training. I bought a cup of hot chocolate yesterday. The people behind me have already got their drinks. I was the first to buy it, but I got it last. I have to track down the order three times. I took my small Daughter waited and ended up getting a cup of warm chocolate instead of hot.
Delicious food, especially the Plant-based breakfast, sweet potato fries, lovely cakes and creme brulee coffee. Excellent service by very accommodating and pleasant staff. Will definitely visit again.
We visited the dining domes yesterday as a group of four and had the afternoon tea. Food was plentiful, the homemade scotch egg was delicious. The service was prompt, Nora was welcoming and friendly, she really made the experience enjoyable.
