Absolutely Appalling! Literally no food, no soup, no festive roast, no festive wrap, no baked potatoes at 12.45, I.e. lunchtime. No apology offered, unbelievably slow, 3 kitchen staff observed looking at their phones rather than cooking the two options on offer!
The staff here are amazing! I frequently bring my son and they are so good with him. My son really likes Allistar, who goes above and beyond to make us smile. Lovley little cafe, coffee is always great too! Highly recommended
Visited today. Wow what an experience. Ordered a cheese and onion toastie. The lady on the till “Kelly” threw the toastie from the till to the counter behind her for her colleague to cook. I have never in my life seen such a thing! Who behaves in such a way? Clearly no respect and in front of customers! I was speechless. My toastie arrived . Uncooked and Soggy. I took it back to the till area and was told someone else had brought back their toastie because it wasn’t cooked. Really? Turn your toastie machine up then! After they both fingered with it and agreed it wasn’t cooked, no apology given so I just grabbed a ham sandwich, no refund offered. This is the second time we have been and I can definitely say we won’t be returning. We had to wipe our own table, it was disgustingly dirty. The Mocha we also ordered wasn’t even warm. This really needs addressing, do you really think this level (or lack of it) service is acceptable? I don’t. What a horrible cafe. Get a grip.
I had ham, egg and chips. Husband beef pie, Mash, peas and gravy. Both meals were disgusting. Solid mash. Pie was probably Microwaved as pastry was inedible. Chips had been waiting a long time. Cold and hard. Eggs dried. Not much damage you can do to 2 thin rounds of ham. No actual cooking appeared to have been involved. Waiting staff lethargic. Used to enjoy Sainsbury’s cafe. What a let down!
One of my fav comfort spot in the area. Great variety of food, spotless and spacious dinning space, super friendly staff, great coffee to start my day❤️ love the sunshine! Plenty of socket. Love tge place so much its absolutely brilliant interior design❤️
Huge queue, need more staff. Food was nice enough.
A bunch of sockets, reasonably big, pretty busy Though, I get the impression it's acting as people's only cafe in the area. 12 minutes queuing time...
Only gave 2stars as would’ve of given any except for lady taking orders and making the drinks. There was no cutlery and had to wait a while after food arrived and had to ask a few times. Didn’t realise the staff were waiting for the dishwasher to finish. We ordered tuna and sweet corn jacket potatoes. There was hardly any tuna it was mainly mayonnaise with bits of tuna and sweetcorn. It was awful. I don’t blame the staff as they seemed overworked and not enough of them. I blame sainsburys as they must decide the ratio of ingredients used. The meal was only £4 each and feel that sainsburys should review their costing and improve the quality of food served and until they do we will not be returning to this cafe.
Oh dear what has happened. Order taking is woefully slow. One server takes orders and also makes coffee and heats snacks. Actually watched the microwave do the heating, then watches the coffee pour. No multi tasking here. Occasionally a helper is brought on to help with hot drinks but they also clear tables. The food is actually quite good when you get it but you could wait 20 minutes in the queue for a coffee or a sandwich.
Not a great experience! The lady on the till was rude and unhelpful though other staff were helpful and working hard. The food was not great very hot dishes but food was half cold. Tasted like a cheap microwave meal! Kids chicken nuggets meal had 3 small nuggets a few chips and some over cooked peas! Really not worth the price!
