The customer service here was terrible, The older lady with glasses on who I'm assuming was Eastern European by her accent was extremely rude in her responses, stopped by late afternoon/ evening as we went for quick coffees with family from out of town whilst we waited for a restaurant reservation. As she brought the coffees over she said we expected more drinks as there was 6 of us when we ordered 4 drinks , (including my young child). She also said there is table service and that we need to order at the counter which is what I actually did, even though we came as a family and i ordered for everyone , Her attitude was odd and strange , I'm not sure what her problem was but deffo not how to treat customers if you want repeat custom. Will not be reattending due to this. Avoid.

Really lovely selection of drinks and baked goods. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed. The cafe actually specialises in chocolate! They have so many different types of Will definitely be returning very soon.

Staff were so lovely and welcoming, such a nice atmosphere and they do the best hot chocolates, there’s so many flavours to choose from and they look amazing! Would definitely recommend

The Cocoa Tree Chorlton has moved from next door to Oxfam to opposite Chorlton Post Office and I had the most out-of-this-world chocolate experience I have ever had, here recently. I visited with a friend, whom I was buying coffee & cake for. I ordered a dark hot chocolate with raspberry sauce (albeit tasting gorgeously like melted Turkish Delight) and a warm chocolate brownie. The drink was very hot, which makes a change from so many hot chocolates in oh so many other café bars and it retained its heat to the very last mouthful, possibly as a result of the added sauce. The brownie cake was also delicious. To top off the experience, the shop owner presented us with a couple of handmade chocolates. I can't speak for my friend, but I popped mine in my mouth for an explosion of chewy, but melt-in-the-mouth mintiness. The overall cost for two people was a bit pricier that I might've paid in most other coffee/chocolate shops, but for the tastes and the hot chocolate remaining hot till the end, I think I would have been surprised had it been any less expensive. I imagine I will be bringing friends here for a treat, for many years to come. I highly recommend this shop!

The staff were lovely and the food tasted absolutely amazing. I went with my daughter and she had a Cheese toastie and I had a Cheese and Ham toastie (no photos). They tasted so good and the cheese in them was out of this world! We then had a triple chocolate brownie to share with a wonderful cake. It tasted incredible and they were both gluten free! The shop also sells homemade chocolate gifts that I am definitely going to purchase, they look fantastic! Would definitely recommend!

We’ve been coming to Cocoa Tree for a number of years. It’s a nice little independent shop smelling like a sweet dream. The coffee and cakes are always fresh and delicious with smiley and welcoming staff. It’s always nice to see Mariana and have a chat and a giggle. This little gem worth a visit if you’re in the area or passing by.

Was passing thought I'd give it a try because it seems pleasant from the outside. The chocolates are pricey but it is a niche shop so that's prob why. The Hot Chocolate was nicely presented, really hot, smooth and nice portion size. Something to enjoy... Also had a Biscoff Tray Bake which wasn't as sweet as I would have like it and bit dry. Giving 3 stars as didn't feel welcome, the lady seemed reluctant to serve us. The atmosphere was a bit too gloomy for my liking esp for a chocolate cafe..

Lovely coffee but a frosty reception guaranteed if you ask for your coffee a bit hotter or any additional request. We were also asked to leave when we ordered a drink in a takeaway cup but sat at a table as “it causes complaints”. Just so comical. Clearly just wanted us out of the shop so other people could sit down. Shame as it’s only one individual who seems to have a bee in her bonnet. All the other staff are really nice.

Great cosy little place to get a coffee and a nibble. You can easily while the time away here no stress no hassle. Prices are in line with the area: £6.30 for two drinks, you can order sitting down via your qr code or at the counter.
