Eaten here many times but this is my first visit since the new owners took over. Me and my partner both had an English breakfast- hash browns were under cooked, tinned tomatoes were only slightly warm and the toast was only properly toasted on one side. I also had a latte which I didn’t enjoy- it was VERY milky and had no coffee taste whatsoever. It tasted more like a mocha with the amount of chocolate dusting on the foam. And I was hoping for the same “vintage tea room” vibes with the old music playing in the background but they had the radio on which doesn’t really go with the theme of the cafe. Such a shame I left disappointed because it’s a lovely little cafe and prices are very reasonable!

Always eat here every week and love the food and the service we received. The below 1 star comment is rubbish they did want to pay for the food (just wanting a free meal) they were threatening towards staff (I was there!) I ate the same food and it was cooked to perfection and there nothing wrong with the food quality as they both came out the same time. How can people do this to a lovely local small business? I would wholly recommend!!! Food is well priced delicious and all home made. I’ve eaten breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and some of the delicious homemade cakes and the only feeling I have received is fullness and content. Trish, Nigel and the team do a fantastic job and go above and beyond for their customers and team.

Started going here once a week for breakfast. Had a tasty English breakfast with 2 pieces of toast. All beautifully cooked. Also had a cappuccino. Lovely service. Keep promising to have something else because everything sounds lovely but just love the cooked breakfast.

This cafe is my favourite cafe. It is quirky I love its cosiness and vintage style. The food is lovely and made fresh. Trish and her team are welcoming and very friendly. I have had breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea here at The Tea Cup Cafe. Along with Birthday cakes made to order. All were so good. This year I got married and asked Trish if it would be possible to hold our wedding reception here. We opted for afternoon high tea. Trish and her team decorated the room beautifully. They served warm canapés of the best sausage rolls and quiche I had ever tasted with mushroom vol au vents and cream cheese bites. Accompanied with Prosecco, sandwiches and the most amazing cakes, scones and mini trifles. Trish surprised us with a beautiful wedding cake which tasted AMAZING. I cannot thank Trish and her team enough for giving us the most perfect afternoon and making it so special for us.

Lovely welcoming staff. Very relaxed atmosphere with great retro music in the background. No rush to leave and the food was very tasty and well presented. Great hot cup of tea and a delicious home made custard to finish.

Great little place with an old fashion style. Customer service: Lovely and happy people are working there. Great service. Babies: They are having baby seats that stick to the normal chairs. Payment: Card or Cash no problem. Car park: You can park in one of the side roads next to the café.

Found another great tea room. Now I’ve walked past this location a couple of weeks ago and it was raining again. Didn’t notice it but it took an opportunity to spoil my elderly mother on my next visit that I found this great tea room. Inside it’s CoViD compliant and with four table I booked a lunch. Didn’t get any names but it was a very pleasant welcome. So table booked and my mum offered early lunch but sadly she’d late breakfast. Tea and cake for her - whilst I had H/M meat & potato pie, red cabbage and beetroot with a coffee. Mum tea and chocolate cake. I ordered a steak & ale plus a chicken & mushroom to go. So total cost £22. The food was fantastic, the Nat King Cole back music was awesome with mum closing her eyes and drifting away to times gone by. All I can say is well done, keep it up and hopefully you never get to busy as to have no tables available or run out of you good, wholesome foods.

I ordered a take away afternoon tea for my mum and I and we were both impressed with the quality. The ordering process was very easy and collecting the afternoon tea was quick and efficient. The sandwiches were lovely- there was a good range which suited both of us. The cakes were fresh and tasty too. Thank you, I’d definitely recommend for a little treat!
