A wonderful local spot right on the Bridgewater canal. We visit here most Sunday mornings for a hot drink and a little brunch. Always so friendly with a family friendly atmosphere around with plenty of seating for customers. Well worth stopping by. Delicious food and plenty to choose from!

My new favourite place! First visit, 20th August 2025, and I've been three times since! I've known this boat exists, but was never close enough to visit, but a recent move has meant I can pop by more regularly. The latte is gorgeous (mine is one shot) and I've tried three flapjacks (the maple one, twice, which I preferred). I've never been glutened either!! Fab!! love to sit and watch people walk by, often in good, uplifting spirits, some some hello as they pass. My new favourite place. Lovely staff and helpful. Welcoming and friendly.

Such a cute place to stop for a rest and get a great iced latte! The cake is pre prepared, I’ve had a few different ones and some have been fresh and great, the others have been a little on the stale side, but still enjoyable. The bacon rolls are yummy!

Didn't expect a barge on the canal serving really good breakfasts, to be honest! Coffee was decent but the bacon butty on a fruited teacake with mustard and pickle was an absolute triumph! Very impressed...

I'd recommend everyone to head down for a lovely walk and to have some cake and a beverage. Such lovely people who run the cafe who have showed such kindness to our friend Nigel who loves visiting. A definite recommend.

Lovely amazing staff who will make you feel better and have a conversation with you which is really nice. The coffee is delicious as is the range of cakes from here, definitely would recommend. Daisy loves sniffing around the boat to see if anyone has dropped any bacon or hotdog which is funny to see, I think she also approves of this cafe!

Great sandwiches with bacon! Best that I had in Sale. Slow down the road and order something, you won't regret it !

It's a great local coffee barge run by Claire and Rob, lots of assorted beverages, cakes and hot snacks. Sited at the back of Walton Park on the canal. The canal barge cafe is located on the canal path between Timperley bridge and Brooklands bridge on the tarmac side. Popular at weekends and famous for their bacon barms. I love their coffee and go a few times a week to break from working at home.
