We were happy to find The Secret Garden open after the January floods. The kitchen is being extended and renewed. Wheelchair access is through the garden centre during the work on the extension.

Nice garden centre cafe, we came across the garden centre & this cafe when at the near by hospital, so on the way home popped in here, had a look round and food. Today we returned to this garden centre & cafe again just to have some food. Cafe is a nice layout, good menu and food quality. Staff helpful and polite to, food both times has been good, I will be coming back again :)

Really great place to eat. Friendly staff, quick service and beautiful food. I've had the full breakfast on two occasions, and tried some of their quiche and sandwiches too. Always perfect, great prices, and dog friendly too! Highly recommended.

Looking for a breakfast and we chanced across this cafe as we were buying plants as gifts in the garden centre. The cakes looked good and the texture of the sponge cakes had the look of homemade rather than the uniformed structure of bought in. A couple of poached eggs and toast was what I ordered with a pot of tea. What arrived was two perfectly cooked eggs the yolk still soft and a lovely strong cup of tea from the pot. All we want from a breakfast is freshly cooked food done well and this is exactly what we got at a very reasonable price. We were sufficiently impressed to retun for breakfast the next morning. When next in Manchester I wouldn't be surprised if we end up here again.

It was a very disappointing visit, even though the menu says food was served all day when we arrived we were informed it was coffee and cake only. So we looked at the cakes, which tbh didn't look great, also for home baked cakes it was a shame to recognise a few that we obviously purchased from a cash and carry. The coffee we received was made espresso based but tasted weak and over extracted, would get just as tasty a coffee by using mellow bird. The cappuccino milk was scolded and lacking texture and foam. Massive lack of understanding of coffee techniques and training. Won't be returning

Lovely, light and warm cafe tucked away in this small garden centre, with very helpful staff. Extensive menu of tasty savoury lunches, specials, sweets and drinks. Good quality food and nice touches like the well prepared and dressed side salad accompaniments to toasties etc. Well recommended.
