Since the self-ordering machines have been introduced it has gone downhill fast. Didn’t deliver my order so had to go and enquire and it was sat there on the side. The tables are full of used plates and cups not being collected. Disappointed. Food is still nice though although increased in price

This used to be my go to place for something simple to eat. Since they have introduced self services machines it’s gone down hill. I was recently told that I am no longer allowed to add to cheese to a burger anymore as this is no longer an option and the member of staff would have gotten in trouble for letting me purchase an extra ( cheese ) very disappointing

I've given this two stars, (changed to one star after edit) but it depends when you go. At my usual Tesco cafe the serving staff take dirty dishes with them as they return, but that never happens here. Not so bad when it's quiet, but hopeless at a weekend and hopeless any time there is football or cricket nearby. This morning, for example, every table had dirty dishes on which customers had to move before being able to sit down. On my table, I had to both move lots of dirty dishes and clean the table, and wipe the chairs, before I could sit down. A nearby table was already also piled up with dishes when I arrived, and was still piled up with dishes when I left, and that was despite a server passing the table quite a few times in between. The service was literally hopeless. Insufficient staff to clear the tables. Edit: June 2025 Returned after 12 months to see if it had improved. It hadn’t. Tables were clean but chairs were dirty. Looked like whoever wiped food off the table just wiped it onto the chairs. Went to sit at table for four, but three of the four chairs were covered by bits of used food which would have stained our clothes if we had sat down. Very disappointing. Have removed a star, from 2 to 1.

Amazing food for a supermarket cafe! Had to take my car in to the garage next door so had no way of getting back until it was fixed so popped in for some food. Really unexpected to be honest. I had hallumi burger with chilli jam and lettuce with peri peri fries (I know right) then to finish I had a salted caramel flapjack and my mum had mince pie bakewell, really delicious, she says the best she's ever had. Staff were nice and service was efficient.

Alright I'm writing this review for those who love bacon, GET THE LOADED BACON WAFFLES AND SYRUP. It's the BEST item on menu and tastes BETTER than any iteration I seen from Archie's or anywhere else. It's really UNASSUMING TOO. Just cos it's a "cafeteria" doesn't mean the food is bad. Nope not for this item. £5.50. cheap lunch. Just do it and thank me later. Do it

Understaffed or gabbing away in the back (3 Women) Long waits. Then brought a cold coffee by the same woman who made it. How that's possible (clearly not paying attention. £5 Breakfast not bad.

Ordered smashed avocado with egg and mushroom today to take out very Dissatisfied as the toast was totally burnt!!! With the avocado covering it. I’m not one to complain but I really think this is as appalling to serve the toast burnt I don’t think they would of served me this if I was eating in as I would of sent it star it back.
