Fantastic ambience. Sadly the place was full of wasps. The food was good, but I feel Somewhat pricey. £50 for 2 coffees, 2 soft drinks and 2 sandwiches is steep even for Mobberley. We will return as the location is just lovely and the staff were very attentive and friendly. One thing I would suggest is to get some wasp repellers or catchers as it’s a bit of a pain trying to constantly bat wasps away whilst eating.

Really enjoyed the visit, first time for me. I loved the building, warm atmosphere and staff so friendly and helpful. The menu offered a wide variety of lunchtime ‘eats’, something for everyone. I had the small all day breakfast: delicious. Will definitely call in again but, this time, will be sampling their delicious cakes.

Excellent place, unbelievable food with fantastic service. The cafe is in a lovely quiet area with lots of seating inside and out. The food was phenomenal. We had lots of different food and it was all tasty, big portions and great prices. Drinks were also great, we had soft drinks and hot chocolates. We were served by a lovely lady named Linda. She couldn’t do enough for us and was a credit to the cafe! All in all a very easy 5 star venue with 5 star facilities, 5 star food and 5 star staff.

Fantastic food and service, very accommodating to my autistic daughter’s needs, and really made her feel like nothing was an issue when she had some difficulties with her menu choices. It’s all in how things are handled and the kind and friendly approach made all the difference. Lovely atmosphere and surroundings, tasty food, would definitely recommend.

I have been visiting here for about 7 years and until now have never considered writing a review for one of my family’s favourite go to places. Over the years the food quality has been top notch. Service is always magnificent and attentive. There is always a buzz about the place. Today my two daughters and I had a variety of offerings. Pancakes with syrup. Poached eggs on sourdough with a sausage and I plumped for the Eggs Benedict. All delicious as expected. Barnshaw Smithy has consistently served up some of the best food we try in our travels around the local area. Well done everyone. See you all again very soon.

We stopped here for brunch in December, I didn’t go inside due to the risk of Covid, so we sat outside ( yes it was cold but sunny) at one of the lovely tables. They even brought out cushions and blankets to help us to stay warm. There was a slight delay to order food as they were very busy. But once we could order, the food came quickly and was delicious. They brought a water bowl for our dog and he had some yummy locally produced sausages. I had the pancakes and they were great. There is limited parking outside the cafe, but we managed to get a spot. We enjoyed watching the local birds darting in and out of the bushes nearby. It’s a peaceful but popular spot with good food. I hope we’ll return one day.

Really nice place with a lovely garden and tables outside. The staff is great, always serving you with a smile. The menu is good, various options available. The prices are on the high side though.

I can't believe that we found this beautiful place less than 30 minutes from Manchester city centre. Nice atmosphere, excellent and great menu. Everything tastes great. Continuously at least one parking space. All we wanted was to spend more time at garden. ⭐️
