Ordered on Uber: 2x Big Daddy Breakfast @x12.00 each, 1x Sausage/Barm @ £4.30 Total: £22.51 (after Uber discount) DELIVERY/PACKAGING: Uber delivery came quite fast so had no problem with the time frame. It was delivered in a tied up Tesco shopping bag, even the Uber driver laughed at this. 2 polystyrene trays had all the breakfast in each minus the tomatoes and beans, they were put in foil trays with paper lids, there was a fair bit of spillage from the beans in the bag. After dishing out onto plates, the breakfast were nearly cold so had to warm them in microwave for 1min each. If I'm being honest, the breakfast items would be better in large Circle/Square tin foil trays, this would keep the heat longer. The beans/tomatoes would be better in plastic tubs with secure lids, Then delivered in large paper bags that can be folded and stickered down to stop food tampering (it happens), not plastic bags from supermarkets. FOOD: It was ok, most items were nice. The black pudding had some sort of string around them or hard skin which I nearly choked on. The bacon, both myself & partner tried it, it was a funny colour (tried getting photo but camera on the phone made it lighter), tasted weird and smelt horrible, either off (doubt it) or cooked on griddle that they have been cooking on since 8am and is slightly black by the end of the day (we did order at approx 1pm, they shut at 2pm). PRICING: £12 each for the breakfast, I don't think it's worth it. £4.30 for 2 sausages/egg on a barm, definitely not worth it. Prices I'm betting are higher than inside the cafe as its Uber, but adding the service fee and delivery doesn't make ordering from the cafe worth it to be honest, £28 approx if I didn't get a discount. This ain't the cafes fault as such, however, using these delivery services they are paying higher commission then charging customers more, which ain't fair as its having an impact on the quality of food being rushed out to delivery as fast as possible and with it being delivered being slightly warm/cold. All in all, not a bad breakfast, couldn't eat it all as lost appetite (bacon), photo shows what we left. Probably would be better visiting instead and we will try it one day, I'm betting it would be a lot better, hot and freshly cooked, but to be fair, I can't recommend getting food delivered especially with the rip off Uber Charges. *Please Note* These are my personal opinions and it may be a different experience for you, so please, don't let this put you off this restaurant/cafe. Also, this review was based on delivery, not eating in. Eating in (in any establishment) can be a totally different experience than delivery. My personal opinions are not to put people off but mostly to give restaurants/cafes feedback to what maybe they could improve on.

Lovely, clean and well presented, small, dog friendly cafe and take away. Ordered 2 spam, egg and cheese barms to take away - £6.80. They take contactless and cash. Staff lovely and polite. Barms were made fresh and took about 5 minutes. Barms were scrumptious! Bread lovely and soft, very fresh. Egg was dippy. Only slight criticism could do with a little more spam. Small step into cafe so maybe a struggle for wheelchair users.

I know this place as the pepper mill and am a regular user. I always go for a salad box cause of my diet and I am never disappointed because they always have a good selection of meats, fish and cheese plus other vegetarian options. The menu as a whole is excellent and the specials are great value
