Had a fantastic lunch here just now. Booked online and had to delay an hour which they were fine about. Had fantastic service and the food was great. I had the rump steak and garlic butter sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly medium just how I asked and that sauce was delicious. Thanks very much!
Got two courses of the dinner time menu, was a really good price and very tasty. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.
A charming Uppermill pub near Dovestones. Old world charm and great cooking. They know their steaks,and the selection is huge. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. Decour and style makes you want to sit longer. A gem of a country pub.
Had a fantastic Birthday celebration at the Clarence, the food is first class, we all really enjoyed the selection of great food. All the staff are very friendly and could not do enough for our group, highly recommended. Looking forward to my next visit.
The bar snacks were great! The salt and pepper squid and soup of the day (curried coriander and leek) was amazing. They use PG tips for tea which is always a win win
Came here yesterday after a walk round dove stones. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Very helpful and polite. We both had the buffalo burger and it was devine. Great quality and very flavourful. Can't wait to come back.
We only called in for drinks after a walk around Dovestones. But cosy, warm and welcoming, very xmassy. Also dog friendly. The roast dinner looked good. It was very busy; we had to sit at a reserved table until the drinkers arrived and ended up sat outside at the front. Could do a bit more with that space, sure it would be appreciated..
Lovely home made pate starter & delicious Sunday roast. Cosy atmosphere, staff very attentive & dog friendly as a plus if you are going for a nice walk around the beautiful Dovestone reservoir!
