   I have sang here on several occasions, and the audience has always been great with agecrange from 18 - 80. Landlord runs a well secure pub and always hands on at the door. Bar staff work well together. A really pleasant pub with great atmosphere

   Yet again a good night ruined due to being too busy. The invasion of kids around 11pm from the kindergarten (The Grapes) up the road is common on a Friday and Saturday night, this Saturday was just too much with an army of these kids arriving well drunk. The atmosphere took a nose dive as it got more and more rowdy. It looked and sounded like a fight outside so we all decided enough was enough and left. Its great to see a busy pub, especially one with live music which can be quite good - the landlord has certainly done a good job re-inventing the place. However being crammed, bumped and pushed and also trying to get served just leads to a poor night out. Not sure why the landlord lets it happen - greed perhaps - but it certainly doesnt do their reputation any favours.

   A great, friendly and unpretentious local pub with the most eccentric jukebox I've ever heard. Good selection of beers, pool table and TV (but not on loud). A place for regulars, run smoothly by Tony, the landlord and his great team.
