   Booked my baby shower here and what a bloody joke it was! When we turned up to set up was told speakers didn't work and land lady was so rude saying they told us this when we booked which is far from true because why would I book a venue with no speakers! The place was a mess when we came to set up with confetti and rubbish left on the floor and tables and everything was all sticky. When decorating the room the land lady came up and started being rude about sticking banners up because of the sellotape however the walls were already full of sellotape. So was unable to put banners up. We also had booked till 7 however they decided to kick us out at 6 claiming they had a 21st birthday but has we left they was locking the pub up and putting tables and chairs away! Either way we were told we had till 7 and were cut an hour early. Not only this but toilet had no toilet paper and was a mess when we arrived. They also didn't open the bar even though people were already in the venue waiting for the bar. I wouldn't book here if u are looking for a venue that is welcoming and that have staff that actually care about there customers!

   Lovely, friendly staff. Great choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at really good prices. We hired the function room upstairs for our sons and his friends joint 21st. Good sized room with its own bar, stage and toilets. Lots of seating and a good size dance floor. Highly recommend The Blue Club if you are looking for a function room for any event.
