I went with a friend on sunday evening for the roast dinner. The waitress was extremely kind and attentive. The meat was delicious and plentiful and the gravy was delicious. Unfortunately the yorkshire was hard and the roasties were not crispy. The waitress kindly replaced the yorkshire with a slightly better one after asking if everything was alright with the meal

We had a fantastic dinner today! The food as always was excellent but nothing truly compares to the service here. The staff are so kind and welcoming, eager to assist and generally make you feel like you're at a friend's for dinner! PJ was honestly incredible, the kids absolutely adored him and sometimes its a worry taking 2 kids under 5 for dinner but he was a breath of fresh air and made us feel comfortable the whole time! I cannot express enough how much that meant to me - you are an absolute asset to the Midland! Thank you all so much - see you again soon!

6 meals ordered and although 4 were fine and enjoyed by the other members of our group, the 2 steak frites came out cold. If slightly cooler then I could understand, but they were both totally cold. Both were of course replaced but the other 4 meals were eaten by then. Free cheesecake as compensation and the service was fantastic. Good atmosphere and beers.

Menu very mediocre from what it used to be. I had buger very nice and juicey. Friend had rump steak very tender but lacked veg or salad on the plate. Very busy, weds lunch. 3 staff did great keeping people happy and served. Starters calamari and prawns lovely, but lacked a dip. I asked for mayo. You must try and make up your own mind.

The Sunday roast is 3 out of 5 stars. The meat is nice, very thinnly sliced but very fatty on the edges. The roast potatoes weren't roasted and they didn't have rosemary on them like the menu said. The carrot and yellow? rectangles were very watery with no flavour. The yorkshire pud was nice and mash was excellent, very buttery. Overall nice, but it's a busy pub where you're sat extremely close to the next table.

My friend and I visited last evening. We had not booked and they were extremely busy with parties but they squeezed us in. Great staff, very friendly. Food was delicious. Would recommend.

Lovely place food well presented & delicious ..service & staff great. But I thought expensive. King prawn baguette. 5 prawns & cocktail sauce with side leaf salad. Over £9. !

Attended on Sunday for a meal with friends. Sadly had a very long wait for food (nearly an hour from ordering) I understand that it was busy but feel it could be time managed better. People that arrived after us got their starters before we got our mains (we didn't have a starter). The meal itself was really nice and a good size portion however we were extremely disappointed with the desserts. Picture attached of my desert which cost £7.75! It was the thinnest slice I've ever seen and did not merit that price tag at all. Others ordered the brownie and it was three small triangles (which did not make one average square of brownie) a friend commented that she thought it was a childs portion, Sadly very disappointing. We have visited before and had some great meals and experiences this one however was not the best.
