After an excellent game of tennis with my good friends we went into this pub and did not feel welcome at all. The landlady welcomed us with nothing but aggression. She was clearly off her face and was talking and looking to us like pieces of dog poo. It made us all feel very uncomfortable. She then followed up by just staring at us with her gums out for the next 5 minutes. To be a landlady and that out of it as soon as u walk in is not a good sign but to top it all of to be extremely rude too, really disappointing. The whole situation was made better when we finally got a pint and it tasted as though the lines had not been cleaned in 5 years. We were then kicked out as it was last orders to see the pub was still open an hour later. 0 stars of possible

Proper pub, everyone is friendly and fun. The owener and his mum are a right laugh and the Sunday dinners are cheap, well cooked and large. Its like a real old school dinner. Baguettes are great too for a smaller dinner!!! A little gem in Stockport.

Ric says this pub has had a few ups and downs. Used to have a big real ale selection but not enough turnover to keep it going. Only Ossett White Rat 4% Pale Ale today which was fine. Jorvic not so keen on his Madri. Only OK. Very quiet on a cold Wednesday lunch in Feb. Good location on the edge of the market place. Needs a bit of investment.

What an absolutely lovely place. Not only was the actual pub lovely, cosy and welcoming, but the managers were absolutely lovely too. Made my friend a proper cuppa and brought my phone out to me too when I left it behind. I don't go out in Stockport much, but my friend and I will definitely be coming back.

Obnoxious bar staff, had to return a flat pint to the old woman behind the bar and got spoken to like I was dirt, she argued that it wasn’t flat and she knew because she’s “worked in pubs for 50 years”. So she really should have learnt some manners by now shouldn’t she.
