wow. i had rump steak. cooked just how i like it. onion rings were the best ever. great meal and friendly service. highly recommend it.

Never been for a carvery. Had loads say its lovely. So we tried it out. All I all the food was nice and "Sunday roastish) no problems. BUT the chef/server needs to learn some hygiene. Picking food up with his bare hands. Placing yorkshire pudding on your plate with his HANDS. Then as I watched him while eating my dinner he's picking up all the "scraps" and eating them. He used a spoon to scoop up some meat from the pie to eat. (No problems I thought) then 5 minutes later he did it again. WITH THE SAME SPOON! When he's waiting for customers he's playing with his phone. THEN picking up yorkshires again and putting them on customers plates. All without washing his hands. Don't get me wrong. The place is nice. The food was nice. Its just I noticed these things. He needs to up his hygiene skills
We celebrated our 70th birthday with cooked meals for 21 family members and not a complaint from any one. Meals came out together as fast as they could be carried through from kitchen. We always enjoy our meals when we call in about once a week, but a little worried about us all getting our orders correct, We needent have worried, every thing was top notch, nice and hot. The chef even catered for one that is gluten intolerant, one with a nut allergy but a quick word with the chef and all sorted. The orders ranged from pie n peas, fish n chips, steaks, T.Bone steaks, mixed grills, chicken fajitas and my very own favourite smothered chicken. We were a very happy crowd and all satisfied at the end of the evening. The bar is always in tip top condition with beers as they should be. Thank you for making it memorable. WE WILL BE BACK.
Been three times now with friends and each had different meals. Never been disappointed, beer good,tea nice and hot and every meal absolutely fantastic, compliments to the chef. Staff very polite and helpful, always happy to answer all questions. Fish and chips perfect, ham, perfect, smothered chicken absolutely fantastic, steak pie delicious. Looking forward to our outing next week to try some thing else, intend on trying the lot. 20% off on Wednesdays, 2 main meals for a tenner on Thursdays, come on people you're missing a great treat. Thanks again for a great time. JUST WHEN YOU THINK IT CAN'T GET ANY BETTER, THEY ARE NOW DOING REAL CHIPS. Visited again Wednesday 3rd April and we all enjoyed our meals again, they are second to none. The meals may be cheap but they are certainly top notch and there's nothing cheap about the quality or service. Oh, the meals are now 2 for £10 on Wed, Thurs and Friday. Thank you.
Had a really lovely meal. Nice and quiet as we had the restaurant to ourselves. Ample parking to front and rear. Would recommend definitely.
