Food was bang average, chicken was dry, cheese and mushroom sauce was flavourless, could make something more flavourful at home. Waitresses don’t even look at you, nor say anything when placing things on your table and quickly walking off comes across as rude and unwelcoming. Wouldn’t recommend attending this pub.

Never been here before even though it is right round the corner from me. The food was lovely! The staff were friendly and attentive. Service was very quick. Planning on going back for the festive menu with the family.

The go to pub in North Manchester. Friendly and comfortable atmosphere with charm and very good food . The landlord is friendly and is on the ball constantly, walking about looking after customers. The vault half allows dogs in, it's just a chilled pub. Staff are very friendly too.

even though it’s just a pub the food is still great, the atmosphere is lovely and the waiters are so nice and accommodating. we hadn’t booked but they squeezed in a table of 5 anyway, and we had a great time

Haven't been here for awhile but my mum was really excited to return. Well, we were told that we couldn't wear joggers and were forced to eat in another room where my mum was cold. The restaurant had about 4 people in it and was warm. The other room was empty at first but we were soon joined by other people who had fallen foul of the code. I'm surprised this discrimination is allowed nowadays, especially when it's clear that a middle aged woman and her mother are not going to cause trouble. I had on loose green comfy joggers (no stripes) and a expensive men's cardigan. But apparently the joggers were enough to get me exiled. Ridiculous prejudice against modern fashion. The food was terrible. I remember the food from here (as does my mum) and we both commented on its lack of flavour. To top it all off out come the chef. A young man about 20 wearing a large coat!

It’s a pub that looks lovely from the outside and in recent times has been refurbished however its standards have gone down. The food was mediocre and expensive and the service was dire! The staff lack people skills or service etiquette. I asked for a whisky and coke and got a half pint glass full of coke. Hod knows where the whisky taste was! As a previous bar maid I would have asked how much someone wanted. When I told her it was too much she started to pour some down the sink expecting it to taste better!!! Absolutely laughable and she was clueless when I said I wanted a fresh one. The pub on the numerous occasions we’ve been has smelt strongly of fish and the music is not a low tone in the background but full pelt!! When we asked for it to be turned down (3times) we got eye rolls each time with no action. As for the miserable landlord - no people skills and bordering rude. Would NOT recommend this place
