Beautiful historic Robinsons pub. Extremely friendly staff and locals when I dropped in for a brief visit on the Winter Warmer Wonder. I was even offered a sample of Old Tom before I ordered it.
Sadly another pub that will be better serve the public as a block of flats. Cold inside yet has beautiful coal fires, more expensive than the marketplace for exactly the same drinks, almost approaching double price. I'm glad I only tipped the bar staff a half of lager, I had a half of ale, came to £9.50 how absurd a price for a pub that's lost its soul. I wish I could say better, I really used to like the place.
Great pub with accommodation. Rooms are clean and cosy, staff are welcoming, beer is great and locals are friendly. I would recommend staying here if you are visiting Stockport.
First time visiting came for the jazz night, love the decor not your usual generic old man’s pub, came solo didn’t feel uncomfortable what so ever, the owners clearly have taste in the whole old meets new vibe… manifesting this to be my local when I move
Love this place! The beer garden has been a favour spot over the summer and the cosy rooms will no doubt become a firm favourite in the winter . Good choice of wine and snacks! Also love they are redefining what a pub really is with all their different events going on

Great pub! The pub has a nice garden to the rear which catches the sun all through the day as well as a good selection of beers. Lewis behind the bar is a top guy
Quite nice spacious having a nice beer garden as well. You can play pool having a small pool board. The variety of craft beer is many in numbers. But if you go on a Sunday evening you are not lucky. If there is a football match you can visit the pub and watch the live match
