   It is a very chilled out place, something stands out about the place that I can't quite put my finger on. You feel comfortable, safe - like being at home with friends having a drink. It could be the decor, the lay out or the laid back staff. It lacks the intensity of more commercial places. Photo next time....

   Today, 6th July, we had Sunday lunch here. Lovely pub and great food for the price We had the roast beef and chicken and mushroom pie which both came to £26.00, great value you say. But hold on a minute, a very standard bottle of Australian red wine cost a staggering £21.30!!, just ridiculous IMO. £5.00 max in the shops. Did not spoil the day though, just beware of this when ordering.

   A great place to relax and have a good chat. No mobiles, no music. Good old fashion fireplace with dancing flames. But the bonus is, a great Sunday roast. With pub meals during the week, Sun In September is a pub worth visiting.

   Food was nice, but limited choice menu. On a Sunday, there are only pies and roast dinner. The outside could do with some cleaning, as the first impression isn't great.

   Traditional pub, no mobile phones or swearing just a chat or read the paper. The current managers, Jon n Kerry are lovely too. The food is great too. A specialist menu would be very welcome.
