We visited this three-Michelin-star restaurant in London as a party of two and both chose the seven-course tasting menu. Overall, the experience was excellent and thoroughly enjoyable. The standout dishes were undoubtedly the crab and the lobster. They were exceptional and, without exaggeration, the best seafood dishes I have had at any Michelin-starred restaurant in London. The flavours were clean, refined, and perfectly executed, allowing the quality of the seafood to truly shine. My friend opted for the additional supplements of caviar and wagyu beef. The caviar paired beautifully with langoustine, creating a harmonious and luxurious combination, and was very well executed. The wagyu was also of high quality and very satisfying; however, the portion was quite generous. For some diners, especially women, it may be difficult to finish. A smaller portion at a reduced supplement price would make this option more balanced and appealing. Desserts, in comparison, were slightly underwhelming. The signature baba requires an additional charge and is served in a fairly large portion. While the cream was beautifully made and technically excellent, the overall flavour of the dessert was not particularly distinctive or memorable. Despite this, the meal as a whole was outstanding, with particularly strong savoury courses and impeccable execution throughout. The tasting menu was £225, and with some supplement courses, one drink per person and service charge, it was around $450 per person.

An outstanding tasting menu with beautifully balanced flavors. The sea trout with dashi was delicate and comforting, the wild mushrooms were deep and aromatic, and the lobster with tandoori spices was a real highlight. The venison with smoked eel was bold and perfectly executed, and the dessert of Vietnamese chocolate with miso and black sesame was the perfect unexpected finish. Elegant food, great technique, and a memorable experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.

One of the best Michelin-starred experiences we’ve ever had. The evening started beautifully — a table just for the two of us with a great view — and from start to finish everything felt effortless, balanced, and quietly elegant. Nothing was overly flashy or experimental for the sake of it, just perfectly executed fine dining. The staff were genuinely the kindest and most attentive I’ve encountered in England. Every small detail was thought through: food served at the same time, the exact temperature of the dishes and plates, the precision with which two waiters would place or clear dishes simultaneously. Their attentiveness never felt intrusive — just seamless. We were celebrating a work milestone, and it was so kindly acknowledged with a small cake. Throughout the evening, there were small touches that made it even more special — interlude dishes between courses, a vintage camera photo of us tucked into a red envelope with a handwritten note, and even a few extra desserts to take home. The tasting menu itself was extremely well-balanced. With seven courses, I worried we’d be full too soon, but the pacing was perfect — rich yet never overwhelming. The Fig dessert (Sollies – France, fig leaf, Espelette pepper) was easily one of my favorites, and the Davrik crab from Cornwall was stunning. We ended the evening around 11 pm with tea, French music softly playing in an almost-empty dining room — a perfect, quiet moment to close an unforgettable night. This is proper fine dining at its finest.

We had an amazing experience on Saturday night with the 7-course tasting menu. Every detail is thought of, the staff is extremely friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. They even designed a vegetarian tasting menu on request for my wife. Although they didn't do anything specific for the wedding anniversary we were celebrating there (slightly surprising), you receive small "extras" throughout the meal, amuse-bouche, palate cleanser, little pastry individually wrapped to take away. All in all, a great evening.

I had a wonderful experience at Hélène Darroze. The service was impeccable—attentive, warm, and professional. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor, showcasing incredible attention to detail and creativity. The ambiance added to the overall experience, making it a truly memorable meal. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fine dining experience that delivers on both taste and hospitality.

In my opinion, other Michelin restaurants are much better, I definitely don’t think they deserve 3 star. Imagine cookie cutter pretty plates brought to you from the back refrigerator. Nothing is surprising or exciting. I don’t recommend. An artistic experience for a lavish palate (although, I wasn’t a fan of the bread ice cream). The lunch week-day menu is a hidden gem, at half the price of the dinner menu and with many of the same items. I only put a 1 star because I just don’t think they’re creative enough for 3 star and I did get ill after eating here. I thought it could be the brill, but none of their other 60 diners were sick that day. It only takes one bad item, a very rare case I’m sure, but unfortunately that was my personal experience. They wanted lab samples which I couldn’t provide since I couldn’t see a doctor here within 24 hours. So if you do get sick, there is absolutely no compensation, only that they are sure it wasn’t them because they are a 3 star Michelin, 5 star hotel and you must open a case with lab samples. So that was uncomfortable.

We had a wonderful night last night at Helene Darroze for my partner’s birthday. Excellent service from very attentive service staff. Our favourite was the scallop dish with tandoori spices. Thanks everyone for an incredible night we had, hope to come back again for more good memories.

My first visit to this top French restaurant in London. I had the “Taste of Spring” menu and every course was nice and delicious. My favourite was the “Scallop” dish. The scallop itself was cooked to perfection, while the sauce and the carrot purée combined perfectly to create this amazing dish. As for dessert, my favourite was the “Forced Rhubarb”.

We had a great time but dishes were inconsistent We came to the Connaught for Friday lunch and we had a great time but a lot of dishes were not up to mark. Butter and bread were delicious (how do you make the butter look like sea urchins?!) The service was impeccable. Venison steak tartare was very nice but I’ve had better steak tartares in London (Hide or Trinity). The fish dish was lovely. Desserts were nice but forgettable. The take home dessert was absolutely delicious and such a nice touch. Overall, it was a great experience but we did expect slightly more from all dishes given the restaurant’s three stars.
