The new management are very friendly. The pub is so welcoming and cosy with fires to sit around. The menu has excellent choices and the food is delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

Saw this pub advertised on Instagram, its dog friendly only in the bar area, as you go in on the left, and anywhere in the vault, on the right as you go in Shaun and Agnes and their team nade us feel very welcome, there was not a lot of Customers in the bar area, most of them were in the vault watching football. Several screens in the bar though, and a cosy gas fire. Excellent toilets, very clean and modern design. We both ordered the Greek style Featherblade steak, with lemon and garlic potatoes, a medley of green vegetables. The food came quickly , hot and delicious, generous portion of steak. The menu is very comprehensive, some tradional dishes, small plates (very good value),burgers, specialities which you don't see much in pubs these days. Lunch time deals, full range of desserts, good choice of ales, the Joseph Holt bitter at 4% was a decent pint. Don't forget to register your vehicle when you go in its on a tablet on the bar, large car park, with some outside seating available weather permitting. This pub is a little goldmine and you won't be disappointed when you give them a try

Great place looks a lot better on the inside quite a surprise. Staff nice and friendly Food was tasty Steak Baguette needed a bit more cheese was dry near the end and peppers need a bit of finesse to chunky but I enjoyed it. Gravy was a bit weak pie was nice

Very quiet when we went, think we were the only ones in there. The service was great and good food. Standard Holts' pub menu, but a much nicer atmosphere inside than some of the other Holts pubs'. The food came piping hot and XL dessert sizes. Will return and hope it is busier on our next visit.

We visited weekday afternoon, quick service, great value and definitely would recommend the buttermilk chicken burger or the hanging kebabs Also visited for a family birthday, very accommodating Make sure you enter your car registration on the way in at the bar to avoid a fine for parking on the car park!

Had a meal, it was busy but we didn't have to wait long at all. The food was absolutely beautiful, big portions, piping hot. We don't live in the area but we are already planning on coming for another meal. Brilliant.

Only half the menu available, which was bad enough, but we were only told when we came to order, very poor service. If we had not got 2 children with us I would have walked out,
