   The TV in the bar is deafening so if you have a hearing aid you can save on batteries. Had to leave as it was so bad. My room was some distance from the bar but I could still hear the football from there. The barmaid told me tje volume was so high she sometimes had trouble hearing the customers. If you are deaf a good choice. Will I return? No way.

   Terrible hotel. Hole in the ceiling, shower not working properly and chewing gum on the sheets. Would never stay here again. Took ages to check in as they had one girl behind the bar who doubled up as a receptionist the room was smelly and dirty. Would never stay here again.

   Awful place to stay, music blasting and coming right through the floors to our room. Can feel the vibrations through the bed. Talked to one of the bartenders about a partial refund, but she said it would probably be denied. She was unsympathetic and unhelpful. When I checked in there were multiple police officers in the pub having been called in - just seemed dodgy. Avoid

   This hotel IS NOT child friendly in any way shape or form! Unfortunately we missed the small print which stated children wasn’t allowed in the pub after 7pm but to be honest after hearing and seeing all the anti social behaviour from the locals, I’m glad I couldn’t take my daughter in there. The loud entertainment goes on until midnight ( our room was literally vibrating with the music). This would be great if it was an adult only hotel whereby you want to party the night away and not mind the locals staying outside shouting and messing around until 1am. If you are hoping for a decent night sleep, I’d chose a different hotel. The rooms are freezing cold due to no double glazing and the windows being very old and they are also not very clean or tidy. All in all, I would not book this hotel for me and my daughter again. The 1 positive was, the bed was comfy (2 watch tv as we didn’t get a lot of sleep).

   Great Atmosphere, only downfall was the function room pumps were not cold enough to serve the right temperature for lager, eg Crystal. Gold, Diamond. We had to use the main room to be served.....

   Expensive..no soft drinks so could not have a shandy etc..none of staff bothered about nipping to local shop for some attitude was we still get paid so not bothered..big game on tv but no sound on tv..again staff did not try to sort it out..won't visit again.

   Stayed over during the week could not ask for anything more such friendly staff lovely land lady and land lord these people care about there customers and staff from what I saw even the other customers made me feel so welcome will definitely be going to stay again and definitely recommend the Spread eagle as a place to stay or just inside thank you so much for you hospitality

   Under new management, and what a refreshing difference.. Staff very attentive, polite and friendly.Land lady Hands on.great atmosphere. Will be worth a visit. Very enjoyable.. Thank you to all at the spread Eagle.
