We stopped by on a Tuesday night and even though it was busy the service was incredible. The food was much better than expected and would 100% recommend the Parmesan crisps and the burger. All dishes served beautifully and made for sharing!

I have been dying to try this restaurant for so long and I am happy to report that last night, November 21st 2025, I was finally able to dine at Bistrotheque - a dream of mine ever since I saw it sandwiched between Bambi and Night Tales Loft in that 'coolest east London spots' TikTok my algorithm served me a month ago. The entrance was rather inconspicuous since there is not a sign to the restaurant, which just gives the whole experience a 'if you know you know' kind of vibe to it that makes you feel so much cooler and 'in the know' than the people who chose to dine at Mare Street down the road. You will be heading inside alongside a bunch of androgynous east Londoners that look like they have snorted coke with CharliXCX at least once in their lifetime. But not to worry! This just ads more colour to the whole experience of dining at Bistrotheque. Once inside, you will find yourselves at a place I could describe only as a love child of St John and BRAT; and although the pretentiousness of the name 'Bistrotheque' rolls off the tongue quite nicely, the place is nothing of the sort. The staff are incredibly welcoming and nice, the attention is great and the food is simply spectacular. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere, good lighting, and classy decoration. We had great food, great wine, and great chat - what else could I have possible asked for? 10 / 10. I'd recommend heading there before TOPJAW gets to it, if it already hasn't... Oh! and make sure to wear all black, just so you feel less like a tourist... or a west Londoner.

Overall a great restaurant for brunch and I would go back again but not with a large group! Food was really good, atmosphere and staff were nice. They even had a pianist perform live and I enjoyed their choice of songs. The french toast was amazing! For a group of 13, I was required to pre-order food from a set menu where each person gets 2 items. I had to give this list a few days before the visit, but only on the due day was I given an electric form that needs to be sent to my guests individually to fill in their orders and allergy info. The form did not work and I was a bit frustrated that they didn’t give me a working form upon booking. They accepted what I wrote in the end. It took me a long time to chase after my guests for what they want, so I don’t recommend large groups if you also find that a hassle. Perhaps as an apology for the booking form, they offered free drinks. I understand that a large group of people can easily overwhelm a small restaurant and preordering makes sure that we all get what we want to eat. I just wished that they gave me a working form earlier for the guests to fill in.

I must say that I had an amazing food adventure in Bistrotheque! One of the best restaurants when it comes to food and service. Our server, Gonsalo, was very professional, and his recommendations were amazing! The best brunch in London is definitely! Gratidus to the chef as well!

The most fantastic brunch place. Prices have definitely gone up post pandemic but it’s still worth the price they’ve put. I love that the French toast is different every time I go

My new favourite spot for brunch in East London. Decent portions for the price (by London standards) and nice atmosphere with a pianist on a rainy Sunday. I am a fan of the minimalist decor and open kitchen too.

I haven’t been so wow-ed by a restaurant in a while. We went for dinner, party of 5. Ambience of the place is intimate yet buzzing and the service was phenomenal - special shout-out to Julio and his team. Chicken was so tender and juicy, a must have, but generally, all food was great and many vegetarian/vegan options as well. Reasonably priced and 100% am going again!

Simple flavours and large portions make for a high-value bistro in an old factory. We went for lunch and had the two half-chicken options, one classic and the other spiced. The staff were pleasant and attentive.
