This was the first time we went to the sparkling clog. Abd it was amazing the christmas day three course meal was delicious. The starter main and dessert was on point definitely will be coming back. Thank you to the staff who made us feel at home
Been today for Christmas dinner. There were 8 in our party, and we were very impressed. The food was great, the service was good and friendly and we didnt feel rushed at all. Well done to the chefs and waiting staff
I had a brilliant time at The SparkingClog. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the drinks were spot on, and the place had a really friendly vibe. A big shout-out to Lewis, who was fantastic all evening. He was attentive, cheerful, and really made the visit feel special. His service was quick, he knew his stuff, and he brought a great energy to the place. You can tell he genuinely cares about giving customers a great experience.
It's been a while since we visited the Sparking Clog so we decided to call for lunch. It was a great idea because as soon as we walked in it was bright and welcoming and lovely and clean. There are different areas to sit in with plenty of space between tables. We had the option to order on my mobile phone but I decided to visit the bar and look at the selection of beers. I was not disappointed with the choice and the staff member was really pleasant. After ordering food from the extensive menu I returned with the beers and it wasn't long before the food arrived. It was well presented and it was excellent quality and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be visiting again soon as they have different meal selections depending on the time of day. They also have weekly offers 4 nights a week including a steak night which is very tempting.
We certainly enjoyed our visit to sparking clog We visit numerous times during each year because the food is excellent and we each of our family have had various things off your varied menu and it's always been well cooked and descent servings. The staff are excellent too they are friendly and helpful always ask if all is right with our meal good service all round. I have recommended it to other people as a really nice place and great food .Also it is always lovely and clean. With fast service to clear the tables as people leave.this
We came for a meal with some friends, the food was much better than one would expect from a pub like this, the atmosphere was great and the staff were spot on. Service was super fast too. The meals were delicious. Hot and fresh, well cooked and top quality ingredients and all for a very reasonable price!
I've visited a few times and been very pleased, but on the last occasion, though the food was of high quality as usual, it wasn't hot, and actually cold in parts. We also had over 90 minutes wait, which, considering it was Boxing Day and it was pre-book only, was unsatisfactory. There was also an issue on the website, which meant we were not informed at the time of booking that we needed to order our menus in advance. Consequently, we were very limited in our choice of food.
Only there for a short visit for an event, so only purchased one drink and no food. Pub was a good size with zoned areas, clean and tidy, and the barman was efficient and friendly. My daughter uses occasionally as she lives nearby and on a recent visit she left her handbag behind. Pleased to say that staff confirmed they had it the next day with everything intact. Deserves a big thank you!
